Twitler was active on the internets around 11pm last night, taking 15 minutes between calling FBI Director James Comey “phony” and suggesting Comey was so good to Hillary and as usual all of his nefarious ties to Russia are fake. This routine of acting batshit is getting so typical as to be banal by now. Maybe he could make videos in a clown suit? Comey is on the Hill today so, let’s see what we learn since “any information is expected to be heavily restricted,” e.g. highly classified.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel assumed the mantel of the free world again on Tuesday appearing at a joint presser with Russian mafia state leader Putin in Sochi. Merkel reaffirmed the West’s commitment to sanctions, questioned the treatment of gays in Chechnya, and otherwise behaving like the sort of leader we wish we had now instead of a lunatic Russian puppet. Also shameful little Vlad (he is really short!) continued to deny hacking our elections because he is so shameful.

The New York Post’s Page Six reports Megyn Kelly, previously of Fox, now awaiting debut on NBC, “will travel to Russia next month to moderate a session with Vladimir Putin at a key international conference.” So gross. Why? Thanks, completely unhelpful to the patriotic cause of our nation and the health and welfare of future generations. You don’t and should not need to kiss the ring first before an interview in a normal country, do not forget to convey how not normal Russia is, like Katie Couric did last week with Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. So let history record after Fareed Zakaria’s narrated hagiography for CNN, NBC’s Megyn Kelly was next to lend the weight of legitimacy of the American media to the occupier.

This assessment from our former intelligence chiefs at a panel at Harvard on Tuesday that featured the former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former House intelligence committee chairman Mike Rogers. According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, “Russia has succeeded in sowing political discord in the United States by interfering in the 2016 presidential election, which will likely prompt Moscow to try it again”. Rogers said, “Their purpose was to sow discontent and mistrust in our elections. They wanted us to be at each others’ throats when it was over,” as in divide and conquer, Russia’s eternal grand strategy for attaining a nation with a land mass greater than any other on earth. Rogers continued, “It’s influencing, I would say, legislative process today. That’s wildly successful.” So wake up, that’s not winning America. Actually that’s the definition of losing.

Rumors swirled that Hungarian neo-Nazi turned counterterrorism advisor to fake Russian puppet president Trump Sebastian Gorka was on his way out. Then Gorka claimed that the lunatic squatting in the White House said he was staying. Spicer said he was good too because that man thinks there were Holocaust centers. The regime is clearly paranoid and they lost Flynn already who is willing to talk in exchange for a deal over his prosecution. Everyone who walks out the door now Trump sees in the same vain. Now the Jewish Telegraphic Agency via The Forward, which is responsible for delving into Gorka’s past when most mainstream outlets were accepting whatever lies Gorka told them, reports, “Fifty-five Democratic lawmakers signed on to a letter urging President Donald Trump to dismiss Sebastian Gorka, an adviser accused of being a member of a Hungarian far-right nationalist group.” This Gorka fellow really is a grade A piece of shit. If you did not already hate him for his fake doctorate and neo-Nazi past, you may object to a man who makes up tales of glory about his military service when he may not have ever served, it seems. (More on those lies in “KNOW YOUR ENEMY”.)

French investigative outlet Mediapart and Latvian investigative outlet Re: Baltica did a joint investigation into the Kremlin’s Latvian moneyman running the funds to Moscow Marine and her party of ultra-nationalists. Quelle horreur! Vilis Dambins, “a director of an intermediary company managing assets related to the family of Vladimir Putin’s special representative for relations for Russian organizations abroad Alexander Babakov, has personally met two high-ranking officials of Le Pen’s Front National (FN) to discuss options for the party to get a Russian loan”. Very patriotic! Moscow Marine loves European and dirty money, like a proper fraudulent nationalist with no loyalty to anyone or anything beyond the self. As usual everything is offshore and through intermediaries, you know, la France profonde. Must read (Mediapart in French; Re:Baltica in English.)

CNN previews Yates’ testimony next Monday and it is a little under a week out, so all the potential to be very explosive is there but the effort is already being made to tap down expectations. CNN reports, “Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates is prepared to testify before a Senate panel next week that she gave a forceful warning to the White House regarding then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn nearly three weeks before he was fired, contradicting the administration‘s version of events”. CNN reports, “In a private meeting January 26, Yates told White House Counsel Don McGahn that Flynn was lying when he denied in public and private that he had discussed US sanctions on Russia in conversations with Russian Ambassador to the US Sergei Kislyak.” As for the effort to keep expectations low, CNN notes, “Yates will be limited on what she can tell the Senate judiciary subcommittee because many of the details involving Flynn are classified, meaning there may only be a few new revelations.” In conclusion, “Yates is prepared to answer as much as she can in an unclassified setting,” one source said while another said, “Yates is not expected to say much about the wider Russia probe.” Hold your breath.

The Daily Beast reports Carter Page, “one of the first foreign policy aides that candidate Trump ever named,” now says he never even briefed the orange lunatic holding the nation hostage to his vanity. Look at the situation now and ask: could it have hurt? When you are being dragged through the sewer, what is one more floater? Page is not as concise in his prose as Twitler because this latest fit of insane stupidity came in the form of “a late-night, 1,000 word statement sent unprompted to The Daily Beast”. Do you think Lubyanka wrote it or it is a product of genuine fear brought on by impulsive attention seeking? Do you care? You probably enjoy pictures of Jared and Ivanka jogging around Kalorama then too, sad! In addition to celebrating Trump’s triumph of shill, Page also “castigated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama” because he knows someone will listen to him now and no one will care later. These are his 15 minutes and he is going to cling to them, goddamnit! He is actually on a pivotal cultural crux as we transition from fifteen minutes of fame to everyone in the future being hate watched for 15 minutes. The transition is the on camera authoritarian takeover – for everything else, there is the military.

How do you downsize in corporate America? You bring in outside consultants to terrify everyone and then you let go of a bunch of people unceremoniously, consigning them to the fate of American corporate debris. Well guess what Russian Order of Friendship medal recipient and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, a walking, talking, breathing active measure, plans to do to destroy U.S. foreign policy!? Oh, a page from the U.S. corporate playbook, which bizarrely syncs up so perfectly with Russian active measures. While T Rex claims there is no “predisposed outcome,” come on, they (he and the Russians) want to cut 2,300 jobs so, please.  See, we can be friends with Russia! So long as it is to destroy our nation and ensure a new generation of oligarchs, plutocrats, kleptocrats, call them what you will, which helps cultivate the serfs of the future because by helping to break U.S. foreign policy, T Rex is ensuring the next generation has no future. Memo to those taking money and instruction from Russia still: the next generation would like a future or at the very least, the chance at one. Time to throw T Rex from the Trump train! We want a future!

USA Today looks into the mysterious “trail of dead Russians,” in the words of former FBI agent Clint Watts testifying on the Hill on an earlier episode of our modern political apocalypse, an extended exciting 24/7 geopolitical breaking news reality TV show. Citing British journalist Sarah Hurst who has maintained a list, there are “38 prominent Russians who are victims of unsolved murders or suspicious deaths since the beginning of 2014”. That’s a lot of dead Russians. What happened to them? Who are they? Counted among the dead Russians are “10 high-profile critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin, seven diplomats, six associates of Kremlin power brokers who had a falling out — often over corruption — and 13 military or political leaders involved in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, including commanders of Russian-backed separatist forces” and “Two are possibly connected to a dossier,” you know the one. In any case, it is a bit more than a squad, more like a platoon of people who displeased Putin. What happened to them?  “Twelve were shot, stabbed or beaten to death. Six were blown up. Ten died allegedly of natural causes. One died of mysterious head injuries, one reportedly slipped and hit his head in a public bath, one was hanged in his jail cell, and one died after drinking coffee. The cause of six deaths was reported as unknown.” Given Trump’s enormous praise of Putin and all the known connections this should concern every American not that it will show up on our shores, but that this regime is already here and occupying the White House. So, as per my standard operating procedure, WAKE UP WAKE UP! No everything won’t be fine. No Woodward and Bernstein (or W. Mark Felt) won’t solve this (but a Felt is probably more likely).

Whites Only Haus Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is a clumsy idiot it turns out. Surprise! His “famous war room whiteboard,” in the words of BuzzFeed, hangs in his office. Bannon took a picture with some house rabbi, Shmuel Boteach, who among other things offers religious advice on sex (don’t listen to him gentlemen, it won’t end well), because some Jews are comfortable as props for a racist movement which tells you they are not all alike, and it was in front of the so-called war room whiteboard. So that is bad operational security. So is the fact that his White House badge is in the photograph, another no-no. Seriously, who are these people? If we threw the weight of our state behind doing this to Russia, Vlad would whimper. In any case, BuzzFeed listed out all the secret plans on Bannon’s war room whiteboard and it’s a dizzying array of plans to fuck over the poor and immigrants.

BuzzFeed reports, “The Ministry of Defence is casting doubt on claims made by a top aide to President Donald Trump that he served in the UK military and worked on issues relating to counter-terror, Northern Ireland, and investigating war crimes in the former Yugoslavia.” You mean the neo-Nazis lie too! It’s like truth is irrelevant to them. Gorka “declined to address that report or to discuss his UK military service on the phone, ‘because I am a government employee and have to get it cleared’, insisting instead the enquiry be sent to his official White House email address. He did not reply to a subsequent email.” Gorka “has claimed to work in 22 Intelligence Company, a reserve unit, and a 2002 report in Hungarian News quotes him as saying they worked guarding key facilities, preventing attacks by the IRA, and saying his job was to evaluate threats,” however “BuzzFeed News has learned information from the Ministry of Defence shows that Gorka’s unit didn’t focus on counter-terrorism, was very unlikely to have worked on Northern Ireland, and there are no records showing it worked on the war crimes investigation.” God he also liberated the Falkland Islands, did you know? The UK’s Ministry of Defence in fact “has little information on Gorka himself, including no details of his personal deployments.” Veterans and active duty love that guy who exaggerates their military service. Who remembers Brian Williams coming under sniper fire in Iraq? Or Hillary in Bosnia? “BuzzFeed News understands the MoD has no evidence Gorka ever held a full-time army contract.” Where is the glory in that? Read this if you are STILL hoping for a Woodward and Bernstein and note all the little lies that the press repeated over and over because hey they are repeating even bigger lies over and over.

It’s sad whenever a crush dies. Laura Poitras, the director of Snowden biopic “Citizenfour” has a new film coming out this week about Russia’s other asset, Julian Assange. She spent years with him, so there must be a level of respect for the sort of endurance around extreme forms of narcissism that Assange represents. In any case, more unsettling, she seems to take her subjects at their word, which is sort of the opposite of the level of inquisitiveness we meet when states are involved. However, a state is involved with Assange and it would be helpful if Poitras saw that and perhaps stated it clearly? Instead, she tells Newsweek, “Julian has been really consistent. Look at what he wrote when he founded the organization in 2006: There are powerful institutions that impact everybody on this planet, and they have information being kept secret. And he’s trying to set free the information that will inform.” She also seems to leave open the possibility of the Russian role that 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed on along with a substantial number of NATO allies who provided intelligence for these assessments. According to Poitras, Assange “denies that it was a state actor,” adding “Comey and others have said that Russia used an intermediary. Whether Julian knew, I can’t answer. Only he knows that. He has denied that his source was the state actor. I don’t think Julian is not publishing Trump’s tax returns. If there was filtering to influence political outcomes, I don’t believe that of him.” No one believes he has Trump’s tax returns. That’s not the accusation.

On Monday night’s “Late Show,” comedian Stephen Colbert “went off on Trump over the President’s treatment of CBS News’ John Dickerson,” after Trump ended an interview when asked about his bogus wiretap claims, which led to the whole DARKNESS AT NUNES saga, and we are now obliged to revisit it because the president lies. As both Colbert and Dickerson are employees of CBS, “Colbert felt it his duty to say the things Dickerson himself could not.” Towards the end of his opener, Colbert went off on the lunatic holding the nation hostage for Russia, proclaiming, “Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine,” and “You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c–k holster.” Evidently a lot of gays took offense, so did The Washington Post. Fair but Christopher Hitchens in the wake of the Lewinsky scandal declared blow jobs to be our national sex act, so I don’t think gays should just be offended, the whole nation should be that this is how offensive the regime is that this is necessary late night fodder now.

The 83 year old British anthropologist was quoted in Ivanka’s new ghostwritten offering, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make,” according to The Washington Post. So Goodall responded, “I sincerely hope she will take the full import of my words to heart,” and “I hope that Ms. Trump will stand with us to value and cherish our natural world and protect this planet for future generations.”
