TRUMP’S LAWYER RAISES POSSIBILITY TRUMP AT THE TREASON TABLE
Business Insider reports Jay Sekulow, one of Trump’s many lawyers refuting his treasonous activities involving the Russian mafia state claimed the Secret Service vetted those who came to meet with Donald “Uday” Trump Jr. on June 9, 2016 on ABC News’ Sunday morning show “This Week”. While the comments garnered widespread attention, there are just a few problems to point out, problems which suggest that Trump may be the eighth person in attendance at the meeting. For starters, “It is unclear why Sekulow seemed to assume the Secret Service vetted people Trump Jr. met with. The Secret Service confirmed on Sunday that Trump Jr. was not under its protection on June 9, 2016, and said it ‘would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time.’” Curious. “Trump’s campaign chairman at the time, Paul Manafort, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were not under Secret Service protection at that point either,” Business Insider notes citing a report by Think Progress. Also curious. Business Insider adds, “The Secret Service would not have had to do a background check on the attendees beforehand — only a physical screening — since Trump was just a candidate at the time, former Secret Service agent Jonathan Wackrow told CNN on Sunday.” There is also the fact that “Akhmetshin told Yahoo that ‘no one asked us for ID’s’ when he and Veselnitskaya entered Trump Tower. ‘We literally walked in,’ he said. He told The Washington Post in an earlier interview that Veselnitskaya invited him to the meeting only on the day it took place,” Business Insider notes. So this all raises “questions about whether Trump himself was present at the meeting he said he learned about only last week.” Business Insider went back and looked and notes, “According to media reports from that time, Trump was at Trump Tower at 4 p.m. while the meeting was taking place in his son’s office. The only public event the then-candidate attended that day was a fund-raising lunch for the Trump Victory Fund”. Business Insider follows up, “The meeting lasted ‘15 to 20 minutes,’ according to Sekulow. Trump Jr. had said it lasted about half an hour. Either way, at 4:40, roughly 40 minutes after the meeting began, Trump began tweeting about Clinton’s emails.”

UDAY’S LAWYER ADDS DETAILS
CNN reports, “Donald Trump Jr.’s attorney, Alan Futerfas, has told CNN he has spoken by phone to the eighth person in the room during the meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016.” According to CNN, “Futerfas says the person, who he declined to name, was a US citizen and said he was not employed by the Russian government. But Futerfas acknowledged he didn’t know his entire history.” Trump! Trump! Trump! The only detail that suggests it might not be Trump is the part about the person not being employed by the Russian mafia state. CNN notes, “Futerfas also confirmed that the $50,000 that the Trump re-election campaign paid in June to his firm was, at least in part, for work he’s now doing for Donald Trump Jr.”
IN MEMORIAM: 298 INNOCENTS KILLED BY RUSSIAN BUK MISSILE
Yesterday was the third anniversary of the downing of the Malaysian Airlines jet over eastern Ukraine by Russian backed forces occupying the eastern territories of Luhansk and Donetsk. Reuters reports, “The Netherlands unveiled a national monument on Monday in memory of the 298 people killed in the downing of a Malaysia Airlines jetliner in 2014 above territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.” The victims of this act of Russian aggression “came from 17 countries, and included 196 Dutch citizens,” Reuters notes. The Washington Post reports, “The U.S. has urged other countries to cooperate in the investigation into the 2014 downing of a Malaysia Airlines jet over conflict-torn eastern Ukraine that killed 298 people. An international criminal probe has concluded that the missile was fired from territory controlled by pro-Russia rebels from a mobile launcher trucked in from Russia.” Of course “Moscow has denied involvement,” because the buck never stops with them even when they are personally responsible for mass murder. Yesterday, “At an emotional ceremony marking three years since MH17 was shot down, Evert van Zijtveld said victims’ families ‘shall not give up and shall not be silenced until those who are responsible have been brought to justice,’” The Washington Post reports. The Moscow Times notes, “Kiev triggered the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s jurisdiction over crimes allegedly committed on its territory from Feb. 20, 2014, onwards,” which would include the Malaysia Airlines jet downing. “This process could lead to the opening of a criminal investigation by the Court, which could potentially include the downing of MH17 as a war crime,” The Moscow Times reports.
DACHA WANT BACK YOUR DACHAS, KREMLIN SCUM?
Because America has a reality TV president who is undeserving of dignity because he has none, let’s turn to The Daily Mail’s coverage of how “The Kremlin continued to crank up the pressure to try to force the return of its seized diplomatic compounds, sending notorious U.S. ambassador Sergey Kisylak to the State Department to try to claw back the properties.” Now who else is going to call Kislyak “notorious”? According to The Daily Mail (and many other far more reputable sources), “The longtime diplomat joined Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as they prepared to sit down Monday with undersecretary of State Thomas Shannon at the State Department in Washington to discuss the freighted issue.” Russian officials whined a bunch, the usual suspects said the usual bullshit but withheld on allegations of Russophobia and Nazism – those are reserved for when they do not get their way. And if this does come to pass, expect civil disobedience of the first order. A Facebook page was long ago set up and organizers are ready to ring around the spy dens with our own little auto-Maidan.

WHERE IS MY PAGE? TRYING TO SHOP A BOOK NO ONE WILL READ
BuzzFeed reports, “A former Trump campaign adviser is trying to sell his insider account of the controversy surrounding Russia’s role in the 2016 election.” That so-called insider is the bat shit Carter Page. While “he has been questioned by the FBI about his contacts with Russia and denied wrongdoing,” which is street cred of sorts in Trump’s world of treason, Page in all his delusions of grandeur, “is pitching his book to publishers as the foil to a book in the works by former FBI director James Comey.” My goodness, what might the Russians had to toy with in gaining access to this one? BuzzFeed reports, “On Sunday, Page blasted an email to publishing representatives and members of the media saying that his own book, titled Politics, Lies, And The Wiretap: Inside The Fight To End The 70-Year Cold War, will ‘prove infinitely more accurate, exciting and insightful’ than Comey’s project.” According to BuzzFeed, “In his book, Page promises to detail 10 hours of meetings between him and FBI agents in March of this year”. BuzzFeed adds, “The book plans to trace Page’s involvement with the Trump campaign, his trips to Russia, the dossier published by BuzzFeed News in January, the ‘glory night’ of Trump’s election win, and other topics.” Of course, “Page might have a difficult time securing offers from major publishing houses, publishing sources say. One agent said Page’s book would be a ‘nightmare for legal vetting,’ and risks becoming itself embroiled in Mueller’s investigation,” BuzzFeed reports. “Page sent BuzzFeed News the proposal,” because of course the little attention whore did, and the walking human Trump trainwreck followed up by declaring the “’landmark volume’ will ‘[highlight] the misdeeds of the Clinton campaign and Obama administration.’”
LITHUANIAN HACKER TO BE EXTRADITED TO US
Reuters reports, “A Lithuanian accused of swindling Facebook and Google out of more than $100 million through an email fraud scheme must be extradited to the United States to stand trial, a court in Vilnius ruled on Monday. Evaldas Rimasauskas denies the allegations and will appeal against the decision to a higher court”. Citing a U.S. indictment made public in March, Reuters reports, “Rimasauskas is charged with wire fraud and money laundering, which each carry a maximum prison sentence of 20 years, and identify theft, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of two years.” He has been in custody in Lithuania since March.
TURKEY PUSHES BACK ON REPORTS ITS SWITCHING SIDES AWAY FROM NATO
EurasiaNet reports, “Turkey has reached agreements with both a Russian company and a European consortium to buy air defense systems, without explaining how it plans to carry out both acquisitions — seemingly mutually exclusive — at the same time.” While Bloomberg reported that “that Turkey had agreed to pay $2.5 billion for Russia’s S-400 air defense system, and that two batteries would be delivered within the next year and two more produced in Turkey,” at a Bastille Day reception in Ankara “the very next day Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık made another announcement: ‘I am happy to announce that this afternoon Turkey has signed a cooperation agreement with Italian-French consortium Eurosam to produce missile defense systems’”. EurasiaNet cheekily notes, “This is the latest twist in the saga, increasingly resembling a Turkish soap opera, of Ankara’s quest to find true love in the form of surface-to-air missiles.” EurasiaNet also notes, “it seems unlikely that Turkey would buy both systems, mainly for cost reasons.” So is Turkey just playing hard to get while teasing a long time suitor?
DENMARK TO TRAIN TROOPS IN RUSSIAN DISINFO OPS
Reuters reports, “Danish troops will get training in how to deal with Russian misinformation before being sent to join a NATO military build-up in Estonia in January, Defense Minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen said on Monday.” “‘It is easy to imagine they will become exposed to intimidation and fake rumors,’ he said of the 200 Danish soldiers being deployed,” Reuters reports. RICE TESTIMONY TO HOUSE COMMITTEE DELAYED; POWER ON DECK
CNN reports, “The House intelligence committee has delayed classified testimony expected this week from former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice as the panel is now working to bring forward another former Obama official as soon as this month: Samantha Power.” According to CNN, Power, Obama’s U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., “has agreed to come before the committee, sources say. The panel is still finalizing a date, but her testimony could occur before the August recess.”

ACTIVE MEASURES WATCH: STATE DEPARTMENT
Foreign Policy reports Russian Order of Friendship medal recipient and “Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is downgrading the U.S. campaign against mass atrocities, shuttering the Foggy Bottom office that worked for two decades to hold war criminals accountable, according to several former U.S. officials.” Why would they want to do that, especially now that our government is beholden to a foreign adversary that worships Stalin? According to Foreign Policy, “Tillerson’s office recently informed Todd Buchwald, the special coordinator of the Office of Global Criminal Justice, that he is being reassigned to a position in the State Department’s office of legal affairs, according to a former U.S. official familiar with the move. Buchwald, a career State Department lawyer, has served in the position since December 2015. The remaining staff in the office, Buchwald was told, may be reassigned to the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor”. Human Rights Watch’s international justice program director Richard Dicker said, “There’s no mistaking it — this move will be a huge loss for accountability,” which is precisely what the Trumpistani elite hopes to lose in the transition from democracy to regime. However, “One senior State Department official, speaking on background, said it was ‘pure speculation on someone’s part’ that the war crimes office was closing,” according to Foreign Policy.

POLITICO REPORTER REFUTES UKRAINE DNC COLLUSION BULLSHIT
Media Matters for America reports, “On CNN’s New Day, a co-author of a January Politico article that conservative media have recently touted to claim that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) colluded with the Ukrainian government in a similar way to the alleged possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government explained that the situations are actually ‘very, very different.’” Media Matters for America notes, “Politico’s David Stern pointed out that ‘what we said in the article is that we don’t have, as far as we can see, the type of top-down and wide, broad attack on the American election that was being alleged’ about the Russian government and the Trump campaign. Stern added that the DNC consultant mentioned in the report who spoke to officials at the Ukrainian Embassy ‘was possibly, you could say freelancing when she spoke to them,’ and not directed by the DNC.”
