The AP reports, “some top aides, including National Security Adviser Gen. H.R. McMaster, have been warning that Putin is not to be trusted.” According to AP (and common sense, really), “diplomats and intelligence officials were ‘dumbfounded’ by the president’s approach, particularly given the evidence of Russia’s election meddling.” According to three foreign officials, “McMaster expressed his disapproval of Trump’s course to foreign officials during the lead-up to his trip to Germany. The general specifically said he’d disagreed with Trump’s decision to hold an Oval Office meeting in May with top Russian diplomats and with the president’s general reluctance to speak out against Russian aggression in Europe.” The AP reports, “McMaster and other national security aides also advised the president against holding an official bilateral meeting with Putin.” Guess who didn’t listen? Get him out of here!

Bloomberg reports Special Counsel Robert Mueller is “examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates”. Giddyup! Robert Mueller, patriot, along with “FBI investigators and others are looking at Russian purchases of apartments in Trump buildings, Trump’s involvement in a controversial SoHo development in New York with Russian associates, the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow and Trump’s sale of a Florida mansion to a Russian oligarch in 2008”. According to Bloomberg, “The investigation also has absorbed a money-laundering probe begun by federal prosecutors in New York into Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.” Additionally, “Agents are interested in dealings with the Bank of Cyprus, where [Commerce Secretary] Wilbur Ross served as vice chairman,” and just happens to be a popular place for new Russians to launder their dirty money. But don’t stop there! Go deeper! Indeed, “they are examining the efforts of Jared Kushner, the President’s son-in-law and senior aide, to secure financing for some of his family’s real-estate properties.” Are we having fun yet? Don’t forget to laugh that the Trumpenproletariat thought they had found a true man of the people! Get him out of here!

From Bloomberg.

The Washington Post reports, “Some of President Trump’s lawyers are exploring ways to limit or undercut special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s Russia investigation, building a case against what they allege are his conflicts of interest,” and if that fails “Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in connection with the probe”. According to The Washington Post, “told aides he was especially disturbed after learning Mueller would be able to access several years of his tax returns.” How dare anyone learn he is not worth the billions he claims and is owned by Russians, that fiction means so much to him and the Trumpenproletariat! This is all very exciting because it means Trump knows what we know: he is in deep shit. Get him out of here!

CNN reports on reshuffling of Trump’s legal team. According to the network, “Marc Kasowitz, Trump’s longtime personal attorney who has been the lead lawyer on the Russia investigation, will see his role recede”. Now “attorney John Dowd, along with Jay Sekulow, will now be the President’s primary personal attorneys for the investigation,” CNN reports. Of course, “Attorney Ty Cobb will take the lead from inside the White House on the Russia investigation when he formally starts his job on July 31,” a taxpayer funded position. Lastly and perhaps most significantly, ABC News reports, “the team’s spokesman, Mark Corallo, resigned.” Why wouldn’t Corallo want to be the public face of the Titanic? Is it because everything Trump touches turns to shit?

Newsweek reports, “The congressional oversight body that holds U.S. employees accountable and exposes government fraud and abuse voted unanimously Wednesday to investigate why senior Trump administration officials have been granted security clearances.” Specifically under the microscrope: princeling Jared and Aryan princess Ivanka. Let the good times roll! This requires “the director of the National Background Investigations Bureau to report back within 90 days on how senior Trump administration officials are applying for and getting their security clearances.” What fun! Currently “Kushner has been operating on an ‘interim’ security clearance as he seeks top-secret clearance to work alongside his father-in-law,” which is still too much access for such an eager wannabe foreign agent. Get them out of here!

TIME Magazine reports, “In the months following the California primaries, the feds discovered that Russian hackers had broken into more than 20 state and local election systems and attempted to alter voter registration”. Recall, “the abiding goal of the Russian operation against the 2016 presidential election was, in the words of the U.S. intelligence community, ‘to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process.’” TIME got its hands on a “previously undisclosed 15-page plan, produced by Obama cybersecurity officials” that “shows just how worried Washington was.” According to TIME, “On Nov. 1, the White House went so far as to war-game an Election Day attack,” adding, “Some of the scenarios dealt with actual vote meddling, while others focused on disinformation efforts to undermine the election,” such as “voters turned away to violence at polling places”. In response, national security officials “went over what actions each agency would take and what the legal constraints were on what they could do.” Hint: it didn’t work. TIME adds, “In 2008, Moscow hacked the campaigns of both Obama and John McCain.” But that was then, last year by “Aug. 18, the FBI sent out a flash alert to all the states including the digital fingerprints of the hackers they had gathered in Illinois and Arizona”. Such was the state of alarm, TIME reports, “By mid-August… the GRU had infiltrated the electoral systems of Florida and New Mexico. In Tennessee, hackers had reached into the state’s campaign-finance system. Soon the number of states probed by the Russians had crossed half of all states, and it was clear the Russians had tried to hack everyone; the only question was how successful they had been.” But we must continue to believe the probable fiction that no votes were altered rather only suppressed? Um, ok! TRUMPISTAN WATCH knows it is hard to have faith in a system broken enough to allow this to occur. Pause, breathe, and consider the alternative at this stage is foreign occupation, Russian-backed mafia state rule and a culture of fear, economic illiteracy and true destruction of the soul and spirit.

Surprise! The Washington Post reports, “The Treasury Department on Thursday said it was fining ExxonMobil $2 million for violating sanctions against Russia by entering into banned business agreements while Secretary of State Rex Tillerson led the company.” You mean T Rex would violate U.S. laws to help our new Russian friends — whose pass times include hacking our elections, infrastructure, and citizens and then harassing them? Shock! According to The Washington Post, “Treasury said the improper business dealings came in May 2014, shortly after the U.S. government had sanctioned numerous Russian business executives and companies”. Evidently “ExxonMobil entered into a business arrangement with,” Igor Sechin, the CEO of Rosneft and Putin stalwart, “two weeks after the Treasury Department said U.S. companies could no longer do business with him.” It is as if they gave T Rex a medal for his friendship with Russia – oh wait, they did that. Get him out of here!

CNN reports, “The Senate’s Russia sanctions legislation has generated objections from a wide array of US business industries”. Horrible. While patriots lay awake and elections, infrastructure and citizens are hacked and harassed, some still just want to make a buck because they are opportunists first. Recall: it’s our greedy selfish indifference that unites us as Americans! According to CNN, “Companies from the oil, energy, banking, aerospace, auto and heavy manufacturing industries have all raised concerns”. CNN reports, “corporations insist they’re not against new sanctions on Russia and not seeking to kill the bill, they have argued that the legislation has unintended consequences,” as does bending over to our new friends who are no friends at all. So let’s name names! According to CNN, “companies that have expressed concerns include oil and energy giants like BP, Exxon and General Electric, aerospace leader Boeing and banking conglomerates Citigroup, MasterCard and Visa,” as well as, “Manufacturers including Ford, Dow Chemical, Procter & Gamble, International Paper, Caterpillar and Cummins”. And our sleeping friends across the ocean in Europe “have also objected to the bill, saying it will disadvantage their energy companies.” WAKE UP! The price now is freedom and freedom from fear! This is designed to hurt. Can’t you all do with a little less if it means we get to preserve our way of life? Some of us would like a future.

CBS News reports, “A Russian official was quoted by the country’s government-run media on Thursday as saying Moscow and the U.S. government were in talks about establishing a joint cybersecurity unit – a prospect first raised, and then seemingly dismissed by President Trump after he met with Vladimir Putin.” You know what, why don’t we just not have a nation? CBS News reports, “The [Russian state-run] RIA news agency said Russia’s special envoy on cybersecurity Andrey Krutskikh confirmed that talks were underway to create a bilateral working group, and acknowledging that it could create a ‘problem’ for President Trump.” So assuming you survive and are still capable of reproducing, when your grandchildren ask why they live in caves and you lived in a McMansion, just tell them, we gave ourselves over to the stupid which then sold us out. That’s the truth, after all, and while it might not set you free, it will give them something to think about as they look into the hopeless abyss of the future and try to find a way to build something new someday.

The Atlantic reports, “Paul Behrends, a top aide to Representative Dana Rohrabacher, has been ousted from his role as staff director for the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee that Rohrabacher chairs, after stories appeared in the press highlighting his relationships with pro-Russia lobbyists.” Behrends, who has traveled to Moscow at least twice with Rohrabacher in 2013 and 2016, “was fired from the committee under pressure from House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Ed Royce.” Get him out of here!

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports, “Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said on July 20 that eight Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 10 were wounded in the previous 24 hours as Russia-backed separatists stepped up shelling attacks on their positions in the country’s east.” See what happens when you give Putin and the Russians concessions for nothing? They hammer because like spoiled children because they feel entitled. ABC News writes, “The United States is condemning an outbreak of violence in eastern Ukraine, calling it the deadliest 24-hour period so far this year.” That will stop it alright. Hey Russia, cut it out!

Reuters reports, “NATO should permanently deploy anti-aircraft weapons in the Baltics to deter Russia, Lithuania’s president said on Thursday”. Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite said, “It would be really meaningful to have such weapons in the Baltic region. It would ensure a greater security for all our countries,” adding, “We would gladly host them,” and “We are always ready”.

CNN reports, “Facebook holds the answers investigators are looking for,” as far as the dissemination and spread of so-called “fake news,” e.g. propaganda and disinformation, “and they want the social media giant to give up the goods.” According to CNN, “Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee, met with Facebook officials in California more than a month ago as part of his committee’s investigation into potential collusion or election interference, and he’s convinced the company can explain whether anyone from the Trump campaign helped Russians boost fake news articles”. CNN notes, “Warner is testing the theory popular among Democratic operatives that Russia was behind spikes in fake news that were anti-Clinton and that Russia had help targeting those articles from US political operatives.” Curiously, “Trump’s digital staff have said the best way to clear their names is for Facebook to testify,” which may be a way to further damage U.S. interests and companies. It is also possible Trump’s digital staff are not clued in to how much the Russians were up in the Trump campaign. Such an effort was likely run through friendly proxies, also known as sources or agents, the Russians covered their tracks nicely. Note: “In the French elections, Facebook took down 30,000 fake accounts,” CNN adds.

Stars and Stripes reports, “The U.S. plans to deploy a Patriot missile battery, helicopters and a National Guard tank company to neutral Sweden in September to join one of the largest drills in that country in decades,” however the U.S. Army Europe Commander Lieutenant General Ben Hodges said, “the move isn’t a direct response to Russia’s concurrent Zapad war game.” U.S. forces will join Sweden’s Aurora 2017 exercise, which will involve about 20,000 troops”. Although Sweden is not in NATO, “Sweden has emerged as one of Europe’s most vocal critics of Russia’s intervention in Ukraine and in the Baltics”. Recall Zapad 2017, Russia’s massive military exercise abutting the Baltics is coming this fall and while “Moscow has said Zapad will involve about 13,000 troops,” that is so they do not have to allow for outside observers by existing reporting requirements,” as “allies say they expect the maneuvers to be much larger, with up to 100,000 troops taking part.”

The Washington Post reports, “On Wednesday, one reporter defied the White House by streaming live sound of the briefing online.” Horror! Back when we had a government instead of a regime, the TV cameras could roll but seeing as how we did not know what we had, it was never really given such blanket coverage because it was boring television. According to The Washington Post, “Ksenija Pavlovic, a former political science teaching fellow at Yale who founded a news site called Pavlovic Today,” which no one has really heard of,  “used the Periscope app to stream audio of Wednesday’s briefing. She tweeted a link to the feed”. Curiously, “Pavlovic declined to answer emailed questions from” The Washington Post. Because “Pavlovic is not among the best-known members of the White House press corps, and her audio streams went largely unnoticed in the moment. The first drew 37 listeners; the second attracted 41,” The Washington Post notes. What the hell is this really about? Any of it, all of it?

Newsweek reports, “As director Christopher Nolan’s war epic Dunkirk premiered last Thursday, Russia’s Embassy in the U.K. shared its thoughts on Britain and France’s contribution to the war effort over Twitter. Things escalated quickly.” Indeed! The Russian Embassy in the UK tweeted, “Dunkirk was caused by the appeasement, opposed by (Winston) Churchill”. Newsweek notes, “Twitter users were quick to point out that while Britain and France were formally at war with Nazi Germany, after its invasion of Poland in 1939, Moscow’s top brass had made a pact with Berlin not to stop German troops from advancing toward the Soviet Union’s own borders, occupying its neighbor Poland.” Hilariously and without irony it seems, the Russian Embassy in the UK tried to shift “the topic from the Soviet-Nazi pact,” by suggesting, “history buffs should focus instead on more abstract matters such as ‘elites’ potential 4 lunacy.’” Oh wow! Stalin was not a lunatic? Or do they mean like what is occurring in Moscow these last 17 years? Moscow needs to just keep telling itself everyone they disagree with is a Nazi while making friends with Nazi because what is new, just like always.

Bloomberg reports, “A Patek Philippe timepiece allegedly meant for Russian President Vladimir Putin was sold for 1.05 million euros ($1.2 million) in a Monaco auction.” Who knows what’s what on this one, all this tells us is that the ultra rich who could afford such a thing have dictator fantasies, which we knew and if we didn’t, learned over the last two years. According to Bloomberg, “The timepiece sold to an unidentified Asian buyer after a 15-minute bidding battle between three parties over the phone and internet, Monaco Legend Group said by phone on Thursday.” However, the sale price of the alleged intended for Putin watch is only about $200,000 above the asking price of a normal version of this riche accouterment as “The timepiece retails for about $1 million but is sold only by invitation.” So there you go, despite the eye popping headline and price tag, the Putin premium is a mere $200,000, which could probably by a nice home in Omaha or something. Clearly Putin is not worth as much as he imagines. Poor baby! Especially since by contrast, another Patek Philippe that used to belong to Emperor Haile Selassie went for $2.9 million at Christie’s in May. Putin just isn’t worth as much as Selassie, the free market confirms. Sad!
