—–BREAKING—–

TRUMP TRASH’S CAMPAIGN HAD TWO MORE CONTACTS WITH RUSSIA

The Washington Post reports, “Associates of President Trump and his company have turned over documents to federal investigators that reveal two previously unreported contacts from Russia during the 2016 campaign”. Surprise! According to The Washington Post, “In one case, Trump’s personal attorney,” Michael Cohen, “and a business associate,” Felix Sater, “exchanged emails weeks before the Republican National Convention about the lawyer possibly traveling to an economic conference in Russia,” the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, “that would be attended by top Russian financial and government leaders, including President Vladimir Putin”. The Washington Post adds, “In the other case, the same Trump attorney, Michael Cohen, received a proposal in late 2015 for a Moscow residential project from a company founded by a billionaire who once served in the upper house of the Russian parliament,” Sergei Gordeev. The Washington Post notes, “Cohen declined the invitation to the economic conference, citing the difficulty of attending so close to the GOP convention,” and “Cohen rejected the Moscow building plan.” Recall, “Trump said on several occasions that he had no financial ties to Russia. In July 2016, he tweeted, ‘For the record, I have ZERO investments in Russia,’” The Washington Post notes, which is such obvious bullshit.

ARYAN PRINCESS IVANKA + PRINCELING JARED HAD THIRD PRIVATE EMAIL

POLITICO reports, “White House officials have begun examining emails associated with a third and previously unreported email account on Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s private domain”. Say it with TRUMPISTAN WATCH: but their goddamn, motherfucking emails! You can add more exclamation marks as you forward accordingly. POLITICO adds, “Hundreds of emails have been sent since January from White House addresses to accounts on the Kushner family domain”. Additionally, “Many of those emails went not to Kushner’s or Ivanka Trump’s personal addresses but to an account they both had access to and shared with their personal household staff for family scheduling.” Very secure! And they are just like you, embroiled in scandal after scandal, in over their heads politically and dependent on a personal household staff for family scheduling. You know when TRUMPISTAN WATCH’s household staff is done with family scheduling they typically spend a solid hour disposing of stale caviar and flat champagne – only the finest in this household!

MANAFORT’S QUID PRO QUO: EMAILS LINK “GET WHOLE” TO CABLE DEAL

The Atlantic flushes out more details about correspondence between then Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and an aide in their efforts to contact oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Manafort and Deripaska had a falling out over Black Sea Cable, a Ukrainian communications technology company that perhaps exists only on paper, that the two co-founded which ended in litigation in the Caymans. While The Atlantic has access to the emails surrounding Manafort’s “get whole” email that referenced Deripaska, it only teases us and elaborates on earlier details published in The Washington Post. The Atlantic connects the, “How do we use to get whole,” Manafort email to the Caymans litigation involving Black Sea Cable. The Atlantic also gets Deripaska’s spokesperson on record asserting, “Manafort is the debtor here, not the creditor.” Also, but his emails!

HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE FUCKED THE PENTAGON

Reuters reports, “Hewlett Packard Enterprise allowed a Russian defense agency to review the inner workings of cyber defense software used by the Pentagon to guard its computer networks, according to Russian regulatory records and interviews with people with direct knowledge of the issue.” Reuters adds, “The HPE system, called ArcSight, serves as a cybersecurity nerve center for much of the U.S. military, alerting analysts when it detects that computer systems may have come under attack. ArcSight is also widely used in the private sector.” Reuters reports, “The Russian review of ArcSight’s source code, the closely guarded internal instructions of the software, was part of HPE’s effort to win the certification required to sell the product to Russia’s public sector, according to the regulatory records seen by Reuters and confirmed by a company spokeswoman.” Indeed this “case highlights a growing tension for U.S. technology companies that must weigh their role as protectors of U.S. cybersecurity while continuing to pursue business with Washington’s adversaries such as Russia and China.” It’s a tough call: make money and lose the republic or be patriotic and make less money. Money wins because that’s how the world works. Even Zuckerberg isn’t so naïve as to be unaware of that basic fact.

GAZPROM REPLACES EXXONMOBIL AS TOP ENERGY COMPANY IN THE WORLD

Yahoo! Finance reports, “Gazprom dethroned ExxonMobil as the top energy company in the world,” because the goal of active measures is to capture the state, specifically the three pillars of the economy, foreign policy and defense. ExxonMobil is arguably if not certifiably the most important corporation in America and it sort of hits at the heart of all three. This “according to the 2017 S&P Global Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings”. Yahoo! Finance notes, “For 12 years, ExxonMobil was second to none.” On the other hand, who knows if this is real or some shit the Russians paid for by corrupting everything. Usually they win by cheating, remember?

FAKEBOOK TURNS OVER 3,000 FAKE RUSSIAN ADS

The New York Times reports, “Under intensifying pressure from Congress and growing public outcry, Facebook on Monday turned over more than 3,000 of the Russian-linked advertisements from its site over to the Senate and House intelligence committees.” (More in DISINFO WARS on what these dummy ads contain.) The Verge reports, “Facebook says that it displayed Russia’s divisive election ads to 10 million people”. TRUMPISTAN WATCH is willing to wager it was so way many more people than that!

REP. SCHIFF WANTS TO MAKE RUSKI FAKEBOOK ADS SAMPLE PUBLIC

POLITICO reports, “The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee,” Adam Schiff, “says he intends to make public ‘a representative sampling’ of Facebook ads purchased by Russia-linked operatives that appeared aimed at influencing American politics last year.” Schiff said, “The American people deserve to see the ways that the Russian intelligence services manipulated and took advantage of online platforms to stoke and amplify social and political tensions, which remains a tactic we see the Russian government rely on today”. Fair enough.

FACEBOOK WILL BEEF UP AD REVIEW IN RESPONSE TO RUSSIAN ATTACKS

POLITICO reports, “Facebook will require its human and machine ad-reviewers to pay greater attention to the complete circumstances around ad purchases and their intended audience, the company said on Monday. Moreover, those reviewers will screen ads for what the company described as subtle expressions of violence. The company said it will add more than 1,000 human reviewers to its ad teams around the world.” One part of the changes, namely that “anyone wishing to place a Facebook ad directly related to a U.S. federal election will be required to confirm their identity first,” will not do it alone as we know now, many of the ads Russia placed and groups it cultivated were aimed at sowing divisions and riling up individuals with existing grievances to further discord in society.

U.S. ARMY EUROPE COMMANDER CALLS OUT RUSSIAN BULLSHIT

The AP reports, “The U.S. Army’s commander in Europe says Russia broke up its Zapad war games with Belarus into parts to avoid having international monitors watch the weeklong exercises last month. Lieutenant General Ben Hodges said Monday that the two countries deployed ‘way over 12,700’ personnel, the limit beyond which Europe’s OSCE security organization should be allowed to send observers.”

NAVALNY JAILED FOR 20 DAYS FOR “ILLEGAL DEMONSTRATIONS” CRIME

Reuters reports, “A Russian court sentenced opposition leader Alexei Navalny to his third jail term this year on Monday, disrupting plans by the long-time Kremlin critic to campaign before Russia’s coming election.” Shock! Now: if Russia succeeds in our country with its plans for a total dystopian hellscape, this will be our future, too. Putin sees the crowds Navalny is getting and knows that he himself could not top it, not now, not at this point in his eternal presidency. Reuters notes, “Navalny has been jailed twice already this year after organising rallies and protests against government corruption,” because that is their Achilles’ heel. The Guardian notes Navalny tweeted after the ruling, “Old man Putin is so scared of our rallies in the regions he’s decided to make himself happy by giving himself a little gift for his birthday,” which is Saturday, October 7. In the past, he has seen a prominent critic, Anna Politkovskaya, murdered to “celebrate”. Remember: this is who Trump admires.

CIA REJECTS SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE REQUEST

The Hill reports, “The CIA has allegedly rejected the Senate Judiciary Committee’s request to access certain information about Russian interference in last year’s election”. The CIA is most certainly afraid of leaks.

RUSSIA HELPS NORTH KOREA GET INTERNET TO CONDUCT ATTACKS
Reuters
reports, “North Korea has opened a second internet connection with the outside world, this time via Russia, a move which cyber security experts said could give Pyongyang greater capability to conduct cyber attacks.” Remember when everyone said the internet would make the world more open and interconnected? Those days are so long gone! According to Reuters, “North Korea’s internet access is estimated to be limited to somewhere between a few hundred and just over 1,000 connections. These connections are vital for coordinating the country’s cyber attacks”. Reuters notes, “Many of the cyber attacks conducted on behalf of Pyongyang came from outside North Korea using hijacked computers,” and “Those ordering and controlling the attacks communicate to hackers and hijacked computers from within North Korea.”

PUTIN FILLING MIDDLE EAST POWER VACUUM

Bloomberg reports, “The Israelis and Turks, the Egyptians and Jordanians — they’re all beating a path to the Kremlin in the hope that Vladimir Putin, the new master of the Middle East, can secure their interests and fix their problems.” Bloomberg notes, “Until very recently, Washington stood alone as the go-to destination for such leaders.”

SAUDI KING SALMAN HEADS TO MOSCOW TO MEET WITH PUTIN THURSDAY

Reuters reports, “Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz is expected to visit Russia, the [Russian state-run] RIA news agency cited Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying on Thursday.” Recall, Saudi is a stalwart U.S. ally and our number two foreign oil supplier, after Canada. Also recall active measures seek to capture three pillars of a foreign state: economy, defense and foreign policy. Pulling Saudi away from its deep alliance to the U.S. would hit all three.

RUSSIANS FIRE OFFICIAL WITH MIAMI CONDO REVEALED BY HERALD

The Miami Herald reports, “A Russian government official,” Igor Zorin, “who bought South Florida condos branded by President Donald Trump has heard an unwelcome refrain: You’re fired.” According to The Miami Herald, citing Russian state-aligned Kommersant, “Zorin lost his job running a state-owned Russian communications firm after a Miami Herald investigation revealed he owned multi-million dollar condos at Trump Palace in Sunny Isles Beach – and had ties to members of a South Florida motorcycle club dedicated to Russia’s special forces, the Spetsnaz.” Hilariously The Miami Herald notes, “Russian officials aren’t allowed to own foreign corporations like the Florida limited liability companies Zorin used to buy the condos. They must also disclose any overseas properties, which Zorin failed to do,” even though they all do. So clearly Zorin’s crime was being caught and inviting unwanted scrutiny at a sensitive time. Additionally, Zorin “had an undisclosed business relationship with the security firm of a former Russian intelligence officer, Svyatoslav Mangushev, who now lives in South Florida. Zorin’s state-owned company, the Russian Broadcasting and Alert Network, hired Mangushev’s company as a contractor.” The Miami Herald reports, “Zorin purchased two Trump condos for a total of $4.5 million in 2012 and 2013, and had a $1.5 million property bought by Mangushev transferred into his name,” but “The deals were resales from individual owners,” meaning, “the Trump Organization did not receive money from the purchases.” Additionally, “Zorin also spent $3.3 million on a Bal Harbour mansion.” Where did he get all that money working for the Russian government? Was it his official salary or his unofficial takeaway?

—–DISINFO WARS—–

RUSSIA’S FAKEBOOK DISINFO OPS

The New York Times reports, “The Russians who posed as Americans on Facebook last year tried on quite an array of disguises.” According to The New York Times, “There was ‘Defend the 2nd,’ a Facebook page for gun-rights supporters, festooned with firearms and tough rhetoric. There was a rainbow-hued page for gay rights activists, ‘LGBT United.’ There was even a Facebook group for animal lovers with memes of adorable puppies that spread across the site with the help of paid ads.” But all were united by their owner admins at the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg, where trolls and others paid by the Kremlin work to distort its original purposes of fostering openness and dialogue. As The New York Times notes, “In every case, the voices posed as Americans and presumed to speak for like-thinking fellow citizens: anti-immigration zealots, gun-rights advocates, gay rights supporters, African-American activists — and, more”. The New York Times adds, “Moreover, the disinformation campaign spread well beyond Facebook to sites like Reddit, Instagram, 4chan and Imgur — other popular online social networks — making it more difficult for any one company to curb the tide of fake accounts,” The New York Times notes. In the case of one fake page created by Russian disinfo operators, Blacktivist, a local activist in Baltimore confronted the page’s founder to ask if they were even local or what. The Washington Post adds more details, including, “One of the Russian-bought advertisements that Facebook shared with congressional investigators on Monday featured photographs of an armed black woman ‘dry firing’ a rifle — pulling the trigger of the weapon without a bullet in the chamber”. There are also “those featuring photos of Hillary Clinton behind what appear to be prison bars.” The Washington Post notes a Black Lives Matter activist in Oakland is similarly not having it, calling it “racist propaganda”.

RUSSIA TROLLS CIA OVER FACEBOOK AD LIKE A BAD MOVIE
Newsweek
reports, “Russia is trolling the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency for advertising jobs for Russian-language experts at a time when a record low number of Americans are learning the language”. The ad is indeed like a bad movie. Newsweek notes, “Russian government social media accounts have decided to ape the CIA’s pursuit of linguists,” which is so beyond predictable. Unlike Russia’s obsession with America and Americans, most Americans honestly do not give a shit about Russia, even now.

Members of the Russian National Guard in Russia’s westernmost exclave, the Kaliningrad region, in collaboration with the local highway police department, deactivated almost 100 German-made WWII shells at Khrabrovo International Airport that is currently in the process of being renovated, Russian National Guard Spokesman Nikolay Sokolov” told Russian state-run TASS reports.
