Business Insider reports, “A newly unsealed docket in the criminal case against Paul Manafort and his longtime business associate Rick Gates alleged that both men had received ‘millions of dollars’ from Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs that would allow them ‘to live comfortably abroad’ and therefore make them a flight risk.” According to Business Insider, “Manafort and Gates, who both pleaded not guilty on Monday, were required to turn over their passports to the FBI and notify the bureau of their movements. According to the filing, Manafort currently has three passports with different numbers — and has ‘submitted ten US passport applications on ten different occasions’ over the past decade.”

Bloomberg reports, “Former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos made a significant claim in an email: Top Trump campaign officials agreed to a pre-election meeting with representatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin.” Oops. There is also an Instagram post from @realdonaldtrump from March 31, 2016, where Papadopoulos is seated around an all male table with Trump at one head and Private Russian Sessions on the other end. According to Bloomberg, “Papadopoulos was one of five volunteer advisers on foreign policy identified by Trump in a March 2016 interview [with The Washington Post]. Over the next several months, according to court documents, he cultivated at least three contacts who promised ‘dirt’ on Trump’s Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and introductions to top-level Russians. He kept some people in the campaign apprised of his efforts by email,” because his emails! Oops. Also he did it again and again and again: “The communications, by Skype, Facebook, text and email, show the electronic trail the government is following to verify how the campaign handled Russian contacts.” No wonder Jared wanted cool spy comms! Bloomberg adds, “One of those people, identified in court documents as Foreign Contact 2, is Ivan Timofeev, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Tuesday. He works for the Moscow-based Russian International Affairs Council, a Kremlin-linked research group, and isn’t a foreign ministry employee, despite Papadopoulos’s assertion, she said.” In the post-Soviet world, the overlap between the ministries of foreign affairs and such think tanks is profound, so this is simply horseshit. Similarly, less you doubt, “Timofeev declined to comment by email but posted on his group’s site that he believed Papadopoulos was working on his own initiative. ‘Apparently, he was an enthusiast with little experience,’ he said.” TRUMPISTAN WATCH knows what you are, but what are we?

The Washington Post reports, “in private exchanges, Joseph Mifsud was proud of his alleged high-level Moscow contacts, reporting that they had extended all the way to the top: He’d had, he told a former assistant late last year, a private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.” According to The Washington Post, “the boastfulness matches the portrait of Mifsud sketched in court papers unsealed Monday,” in George Papadopoulos’ case. The Washington Post reports, “In those papers — a plea agreement for former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George PapadopoulosMifsud is not named. But the Maltese national and London-based academic confirmed Tuesday that he is the ‘professor’ mentioned in the probe.” Recall, “According to the court files, the professor took an interest in Papadopoulos after the latter joined the Trump campaign. Mifsud promised him ‘dirt’ on Hillary Clinton compiled by the Russians, including thousands of emails. He also offered to serve as a go-between in Papadopoulos’s efforts to connect the Trump campaign with the Kremlin, even going so far as introducing Papadopoulos to a woman he identified as Putin’s niece,” The Washington Post notes. While Mifsud denies involvement, “details that emerged Tuesday based on interviews with those who know him, his writings and his travels suggested a more complex picture, one that better matched the image of the professor in court files as a somewhat obscure European academic who longed for more.” So ego is what ensnared both gentlemen, because they are weak and not so smart. The Washington Post reports, “Hailing from Malta, the European Union’s smallest nation, he parlayed roles advising the government there into top positions with educational institutions that bear exalted-sounding names but are little-known even within academia. Those included president of the Slovenia-based Euro-Mediterranean University and honorary director at the London Academy of Diplomacy.” The Washington Post adds, “According to a biography on the London Centre of International Law Practice’s website, which was deleted Sunday, Mifsud ‘served prominently’ in Malta’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked as an adviser for Malta’s Ministry of Education.” The Washington Post notes, “Mifsud told the Telegraph that he introduced Papadopoulos to a program director of the Russian International Affairs Council, a state-funded Russian think tank that is close to the Foreign Ministry, and that he tried to set up meetings with experts on the European Union.” Additionally, “Mifsud’s contacts in Moscow go back to at least 2012, when a delegation from Moscow State University’s Faculty of Global Processes established a partnership with the London Diplomatic Academy,” The Washington Post notes.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports, “Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman [Dmitry Peskov] has emphasized that the Kremlin sees no evidence of accusations of Russian meddling in the indictment handed down to U.S. President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman and an associate.” This is how we know that in addition to being heartless and tone deaf, they also lack vision. Hilariously Peskov told journalists and propagandists in Moscow, “From what we have read in media reports and seen in statements by participants in the process, Russia so far does not figure in any way in the charges that have been issued,” adding, “Other countries and other people” such as their very own Viktor Yanukovych, currently in exile on Russian soil in Rostov-on-Don while Russian forces occupy the eastern half of Ukraine and illegally seized Crimea.

POLITICO reports, “Sam Clovis, President Donald Trump’s controversial nominee to be the Agriculture Department’s chief scientist, has been ‘a fully cooperative witness’ in the Senate Intelligence Committee’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election,” according to Senate Agriculture Chairman Pat Roberts. POLITICO notes, “Clovis, a former co-chair and policy adviser to Trump’s campaign, knew that another campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, was talking to Russians, according to documents released Monday as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe and campaign and administration officials.” POLITICO adds, “NBC News reported Tuesday that Clovis has been questioned by Mueller’s team and has testified before Mueller’s grand jury.” Of course, “Clovis’ nomination to the top scientific job at the Agriculture Department has already drawn significant opposition from Democrats and scientists who have raised concerns about his climate-change skepticism, his credentials and his history of making disparaging statements about blacks, women, LGBT individuals and others. But there’s been no public opposition from Republicans,” because all they have done as of late in this regard is remove their hooded robes. So you know, the new not normal.

The Verge so perfectly sums up yesterday’s front room show for the public on the Hill involving a cabal of lawyers the tech overlords sent: “A bipartisan group of Senators grilled tech companies today about how Russians used their platforms to interfere in the 2016 election, calling on them to better monitor abuse in the future. A subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary committee challenged top lawyers from Facebook, Google, and Twitter on the potential use of shell companies to hide advertiser identities, the malicious use of bot networks, and the limited capabilities of existing ad review policies. But despite the bipartisan appeal of criticizing the tech companies in public, it’s not clear what, if anything, will come of the critiques.” In Washington parlance, this is called a slap on the wrist. Note “top lawyers” not “top executives” because Zuck, Jack and Pichai are too busy disrupting apolitically while living in the realm of ideas to bother with the small people on the Hill or the even smaller people sitting at home watching on their television sets. In other words, why lead when you can send your lawyer? Pathetic. Null points.

POLITICO reports, “Facebook won’t say no to accepting election-related foreign money”. Yes, you read that right. Just a reminder that those who promised us a Technorati utopian future are in fact whoring themselves cheaply to the enemy and desire to well into the future. Furthermore POLITICO reports there is “No support for Honest Ads Act,” requiring, “disclosures about political advertising on their platforms.” They have no hearts, just wallet shape dimensions in the place of one. Stop buying into their utopian bullshit about making the world a better place or if you must, layer your delusions in further ones, it’s the style these days.

CNN reports, “Facebook accounts run by Russian trolls repeatedly called for violence against different social and political groups in the U.S., including police officers, Black Lives Matter activists and undocumented immigrants.” CNN notes, Being Patriotic,’ a group that regularly posted content praising Donald Trump’s candidacy, stated in an April 2016 post that Black Lives Matter activists who disrespected the American flag should be ‘be immediately shot.’ The account accrued about 200,000 followers before it was shut down. Another Russia-linked group, ‘Blacktivist,’ described police brutality in a November 2016 post weeks after the election, and stated, ‘Black people have to do something. An eye for an eye. The law enforcement officers keep harassing and killing us without consequences.’” However, CNN adds, “The group ‘Secured Borders’ had the most violent rhetoric, some of it well after the presidential election. A post in March 2017 described the threat of ‘dangerous illegal aliens’ and said, ‘The only way to deal with them is to kill them all.’” Less anyone have any questions about how Russia wishes to turn our country into a real death factory on par with the one their country once was, this should assuage any lingering doubts.

Russian state-run RT taunts, “After RT published excerpts from Twitter’s ‘limited offer’ to spend millions on US election marketing, the company abruptly banned all advertising from the news network. This makes full disclosure and transparency imperative, so here goes.” What follows are slides from the presentation Twitter made to Russian state-run RT as a potential advertiser on their platform, suggesting the subversion of democracy for a little under $5 million. Keep in mind, this is designed to make Twitter look bad and Russia by contrast is to be as debased as always. It is just now everything else is debased and shitty like Russia too, so you are supposed to not care based on false equivalencies and acclimation to shitty Russian conditions of life and no liberty. Do check out the slides from Twitter though, some are rather bonkers. So is the fact that our democratic future is worth so little to those who were so keen on selling us a tech utopian future great state where we all be disrupting everything consequence free all the time. For everything else there is the master race, or rather, Master Card.

Bloomberg reports, “A Russian-controlled firm is balking at paying a $5.9 million settlement to the U.S. that let it avoid a trial which threatened to expose an intricate international money-laundering scheme.” According to Bloomberg, “Prevezon Holdings Ltd. says it agreed to pay the U.S. once the government of the Netherlands released 3 million euros ($3.5 million) belonging to it that were frozen. Since the money hasn’t been released, Prevezon says it’s not obligated to pay the settlement.” Bloomberg adds, “In a court filing on Monday, New York prosecutors said Prevezon hasn’t paid anything and may miss a Tuesday deadline to complete the transaction. The prosecutors are seeking a new hearing and may file a request to enforce the terms of the agreement.” Bloomberg notes, “Under the terms of the settlement, the U.S. was to lift a freeze on Prevezon’s funds in the Netherlands, and the company was to pay the settlement within 15 days of that. The Netherlands unfroze the money at the U.S.’s request on Oct. 10, but the Netherlands immediately froze the funds again because of a separate money-laundering investigation being conducted by authorities in that country, according to the court filings.” Multiple money laundering schemes involving Russian mafia state officials? Say it ain’t so!

Meduza reports, “On October 24, Ksenia Sobchak revealed the team that would run her presidential campaign, tapping political expert Alexey Sitnikov to lead her ‘troops in the field.’ He was supposed to be the person in charge of organizing the collection of signatures required to get Sobchak on the ballot.” However, “Just a week later, Sitnikov and everybody on his team quit the campaign. According to the newsletter The Bell, he took seven staffers with him. Without citing specific numbers, sources told newspaper Kommersant that almost two thirds of the Sobchak campaign’s employees have resigned,” Meduza reports. That’s a problem for maintaining a farce by any measure, let alone a political campaign. Sitnikov told Russian outlet RBC, “The whole campaign was thought up on a napkin,” perhaps one inside the Kremlin.

The Moscow Times reports, “A businessman in the city of Irkutsk found a decapitated pig’s head at the entrance to his office after agreeing to provide a venue for a meeting between opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his supporters.” According to The Moscow Times, the severed pig’s head “was delivered to a businessman who offered his furniture store as a venue for Navalny’s meeting,” which notes, “This is the second Navalny-related incident in Irkutsk. In May, an armed gang violently beat the son of the landlord of one of Navalny’s local campaign headquarters.” Any lingering questions or doubts as to why the mafia state is labeled as such?

Bloomberg reports, “The House Intelligence Committee is scheduled Thursday to interview Ike Kaveladze, a Russian-born California businessman who attended a controversial meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016 between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer, during the height of the presidential campaign.” Recall “that Kaveladze was sent by his boss, Aras Agalarov, to escort Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya to Fifth Avenue and act as her translator. However, Veselnitskaya already had a translator, who is regularly at her side at U.S. meetings,” Bloomberg notes. Also of note, “Kaveladze was a focus of a congressional inquiry in 2000 into alleged Russian money laundering through banks in California and New York, but was never charged,” Bloomberg concludes.

Newsweek reports, “President Donald’s Trump’s approval rating has plummeted to a new all-time low, with only 33 percent of respondents saying they approve of the president,” according to a Gallup poll released Monday. Still 33 percent is one in three, which tells you how much trash there is out there littering the beautiful American landscape and how many were sucked into the Trumpistani death cult of the leader and remain eager to heil Twitler! However, this is exciting because “Trump now has the lowest third-quarter approval rating of any president since polling began, with surveys showing similar approval ratings to those of Richard Nixon and George W. Bush toward the end of their presidencies.” Remember when Ivanka promised Daddy would “over deliver”? Did she mean the lowest poll ratings in U.S. history?

The Washington Post reports, “White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly on Monday called Robert E. Lee ‘an honorable man’ and said that ‘the lack of an ability to compromise’ led to the Civil War, once again thrusting himself into the public spotlight on an emotionally charged issue.” This was on faux news Fox News Monday night on the debut of sycophant Laura Ingraham’s show. As a member of the Trump trash administration, praising a seditious general who fought on racist principle should come as no surprise, by now it is par for the course. It should however tell you everything you need to know about John Kelly as someone who tries and aspires to, but cannot quite figure out quite what a man is. Does John Kelly know any history, any at all? As for compromise, he is referring to slavery. As a white male in America, does he understand that minorities make compromises every day? It is rather instead assholes like him who refuse to. At least he failed his history and morality tests early so we know what he is. And yet, he remains a stabilizing force inside the Trump trash administration, so imagine what that other trash he got rid of was like. Horrible.

Bloomberg reports that while “His name appears nowhere in the indictment rocking Washington,” oligarch Oleg Deripaska and “Manafort’s fraught relationship with Oleg Deripaska, the Russian oligarch who once did business with Trump’s former campaign manager, is essential context for the federal investigation of Manafort and Russia’s meddling in U.S. politics.” Bloomberg observes, “The indictment asserts that some of the dozen shell companies that Manafort is accused of using to launder money and conceal work for pro-Russia figures in Ukraine also were used for his dealings with Deripaska, an aluminum magnate with ties to the Russian government.” Bloomberg reports, “Deripaska’s payments and loans to Manafort appear to account for the bulk of the money that moved through those entities. Corporate records in Cyprus show that Deripaska-controlled companies loaned $52.8 million to Manafort’s firms from 2009 to 2013. Two of the Cypriot companies at the center of Mueller’s indictment — Yiakora Ventures Ltd. and LOAV Advisors Ltd. — received a total of $33.9 million in loans from Deripaska’s Oguster Management Ltd., a company registered in the British Virgin Islands, according to accounts filed in Cyprus”.

reports, “The Wall Street Journal editorial page has in the past been a stern critic of Donald Trump, but in recent days has come under fire for pieces that critics say shift attention away from the president — with many people, including former staffers, left to wonder why. After having generally avoided Trump’s efforts to de-legitimize democratic institutions, the Journal last week wrote an editorial calling for special counsel Robert Mueller to resign and featured a contributor op-ed Sunday afternoon that said Trump should issue a blanket pardon in the Russian scandal, including of himself.” That’s very exciting because the fake Russian president has declared it all a hoax on numerous occasions so this suggests a presumption of guilt he has not allowed himself rhetorically, perhaps the only thing truly off limits to the lunatic.

CNN reports, “Some employees at Fox News were left embarrassed and humiliated by their network’s coverage of the latest revelations in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling, according to conversations CNN had with several individuals placed throughout the network.” As well they should be, but now they can tell their grandchildren that in being part of it, they were just following orders. One said it was laughable seeing Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham “tripping over themselves saying [Mueller’s team has] found nothing thus far.” Another called the coverage “an embarrassment”.
