TRUMP’S LATVIA PLANS PROBED BY FBI
The Guardian reports, “In 2010, a small group of businessmen including a wealthy Russian supporter of Vladimir Putin began working on plans to build a glitzy hotel and entertainment complex with Donald Trump in Riga, the capital of Latvia. A senior Trump executive visited the city to scout for locations. Trump and his daughter Ivanka spent hours at Trump Tower with the Russian, Igor Krutoy”. The Guardian notes, “Then the Latvian government’s anti-corruption bureau began asking questions. The Guardian has learned that talks with Trump’s company were abandoned after Krutoy and another of the businessmen were questioned by Latvian authorities as part of a major criminal inquiry there – and that the FBI later looked into Trump’s interactions with them at Latvia’s request.” The Guardian adds, “This means the FBI looked into Trump’s efforts to do business deals in the former Soviet Union earlier than was widely known.” The Guardian notes, “Krutoy, a well-known composer in Russia, has written music for Emin Agalarov, the Russian singer whose father hosted Trump’s 2013 Miss Universe contest in Moscow. Krutoy attended the contest, where he was photographed with Trump. Emin once named Krutoy as one of his closest friends in music. Public records show the Krutoys and the Agalarovs owned neighbouring houses in New Jersey in the 1990s, and now own condominiums in the same luxury complex in Florida. Krutoy said he considered the Agalarovs as acquaintances rather than friends.”

TRUMP’S LAWYER FLOATED PARDONS TO FLYNN + MANAFORT LAWYERS
The New York Times reports, “A lawyer for President Trump broached the idea of Mr. Trump pardoning two of his former top advisers, Michael T. Flynn and Paul Manafort, with their lawyers last year”. The New York Times adds, “The discussions came as the special counsel was building cases against both men, and they raise questions about whether the lawyer, John Dowd, who resigned last week, was offering pardons to influence their decisions about whether to plead guilty and cooperate in the investigation. The talks suggest that Mr. Trump’s lawyers were concerned about what Mr. Flynn and Mr. Manafort might reveal were they to cut a deal with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, in exchange for leniency.” The New York Times notes, “Mr. Mueller’s team could investigate the prospect that Mr. Dowd made pardon offers to thwart the inquiry, although legal experts are divided about whether such offers might constitute obstruction of justice.” The New York Times notes, “Contacted repeatedly over several weeks, the president’s lawyers representing him in the special counsel’s investigation maintained that they knew of no discussions of possible pardons,” adding that Flynn and Manafort’s lawyers’ “Mr. Kelner and Mr. Brown declined to comment.”

MANAFORT IS COUNTING ON A PARDON
CBS News reports, “Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is now betting his future on a presidential pardon,” citing legal sources familiar with his strategy. CBS News adds, “Manafort is not planning to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and and will fight the charges through to trial. It is unlikely that Manafort will escape conviction now that his co-defendant Richard Gates has agreed to work with the special counsel and the charges against him are no longer focused on rarely-prosecuted legal infractions involving the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).”

DOJ TO INVESTIGATE FISA ABUSES, THANK YOU PRIVATE RUSSIAN SESSIONS
Fox News reports, “Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced Wednesday he will review potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses by both the Justice Department and the FBI, following requests from Congress and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The Office of the Inspector General released a statement Wednesday outlining the start of the review.” Recall this was the crux of what the DARKNESS AT NUNES interference covfefe memo alleged, FISA abuse, and the hook it was hung on was the man with the most obvious tell in the world, Carter Page. But now, “The OIG will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person,” according to the Department of Justice statement. You did not think that memo was just a drop in the bucket, did you? Whoever is running DARKNESS AT NUNES beyond our fake Russian bullshit president must be so happy with his handiwork now!

DC + MARYLAND CAN SUE FAKE POTUS OVER EMOLUMENTS VIOLATIONS
The Washington Post reports, “A federal judge ruled that the District of Columbia and Maryland may proceed with an unprecedented lawsuit against President Trump alleging that Trump’s business dealings have violated the Constitution’s ban on receiving improper ‘emoluments,’ or payments, from individual states and foreign governments. The ruling, by U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte in Maryland, marks the first time that a lawsuit of this kind has cleared the initial legal hurdle — a finding that the plaintiffs have legal standing to sue the president in the first place.” The Washington Post adds, “In this case, Messitte found that D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine (D) and Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh (D) have legal standing to sue Trump over the business of the Trump Internaional Hotel in downtown Washington. As part of that ruling, Messitte said he rejected an argument previously made by critics of the lawsuit — that, under the Constitution, only Congress may decide whether the president has violated the emoluments clauses.” The Washington Post notes, “If the ruling stands, it could allow Racine and Frosh to seek internal documents from the Trump Organization, to determine how much money the Washington hotel has taken in from state and foreign governments.” Quite the prize!

THE BEST PEOPLE: TRUMP ELEVATES A SUPER OBSCURE LAWYER
Reuters reports, “A little-known former prosecutor with a doctorate in medieval history will play a central role on U.S. President Donald Trump’s legal team, as many top-tier lawyers shy away from representing him in a probe into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.” Of note, “Ekonomou said he has been working with Sekulow on the Mueller probe since June,” and in that time he has determined Trump is worth working for? Oh boy! The best people! What’s Mark Fuhrman up to these days? Was he also unavailable?
200 FORMER DIPLOMATS SIGN LETTER OF CONCERN ABOUT STATE
The Washington Post reports, “Nearly 200 former U.S. ambassadors and veteran diplomats have signed a letter expressing alarm over the slide in U.S. leadership in the world and urging senators to grill Mike Pompeo about his plans to reverse the corrosion of the State Department if he is confirmed as secretary of state. The letter is addressed to the Republican chairman and the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which is expected to hold confirmation hearings for Pompeo next month.” The letter “was organized by Foreign Policy for America, a nonpartisan advocacy group.” The Washington Post notes, “Word of the letter’s existence spread quickly in the foreign policy community, and it gathered signatures in less than a week as people who have served in both Republican and Democratic administrations raced to sign. They span generations, with some signatories at the end of their diplomatic careers and others who resigned somewhere in the middle. The signatories included many former State Department luminaries, including William J. Burns, a onetime deputy secretary of state who is now president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; Nancy McEldowney, who used to head the Foreign Service Institute and now teaches aspiring diplomats at Georgetown University; Wendy Sherman, who as undersecretary of state for political affairs was the lead negotiator of the Iran nuclear deal; and Thomas Pickering, a retired former ambassador to Russia and the United Nations who is so esteemed that a foreign affairs fellowship is named in his honor.”

DEPARTURES: EMBATTLED HEAD OF THE VA DAVID SHULKIN OUT
POLITICO reports, “President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he was ousting embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin and nominating presidential physician Dr. Ronny Jackson to replace him in the latest administration shake-up.” POLITICO notes, “Shulkin’s exit was expected, though the timing was not known, after he antagonized the White House with a scandal over a taxpayer-financed trip to Europe last summer and engaged in open warfare with conservatives in his agency.” For his part, Jackson “gained a degree of fame unusual for White House physicians in 2017 when he took questions from the White House press corps on national television, discussing at length the president’s physical exam.” POLITICO notes, “Trump, the oldest first-term president in American history, was plagued at the time by questions about his physical health, weight and mental stability. Jackson largely put to rest those questions,” by declaring, “The president’s overall health is excellent,” adding, “His cardiac performance during his physical exam was very good. He continues to enjoy the significant long-term cardiac and overall health benefits that come from a lifetime of abstinence from tobacco and alcohol. … All clinical data indicates that the president is currently very healthy and that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency.”
SKRIPALS MAY HAVE CONTACT WITH NOVICHOK FROM FRONT DOOR
The Washington Post reports, “The former Russian double agent and his daughter who were targeted with a nerve agent more than three weeks ago may have come into contact with the poison at their front door, British authorities said Wednesday.” A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said Wednesday, “Specialists have identified the highest concentration of the nerve agent, to date, as being on the front door of the address.”

UK TO REVIEW 700 RUSSIAN VISAS TO ELITE
Bloomberg reports, “Hundreds of wealthy Russians who moved to the U.K. promising to invest millions of pounds in businesses will have their visas reviewed under plans for a crackdown following the nerve agent attack on a former spy. Home Secretary Amber Rudd said her officials will be trawling through the cases of 700 Russians who were given permission to come to the U.K. before 2015 under the investor visa scheme, in which they promise to invest 2 million pounds ($2.8 million) or more.” Good! This will hurt on a personal, reputational level – the only level these assholes care about. Bloomberg adds, “May has said there’s ‘no place’ for corrupt Russian elites — or their money — in London, and suggested that police could target rich Russians and demand they account for their wealth,” which could leave them shaking – with anger, with embarrassment, with no one cares about them and their precious feelings just as they do not give a shit about ours – if there is actual follow through.
MAY TALKS OF BARRING THE CITY FROM SELLING RUSSIAN DEBT
The Guardian reports, “Theresa May has agreed to look into imposing a ban on the City of London from helping Russia to sell its sovereign debt, which prop ups the Russian economy.” The Guardian notes, “Last month, City clearing houses, working alongside a major sanctioned Russian bank, helped issue $4bn (£2.83bn) of eurobonds to finance Russian sovereign debt, of which nearly half was sold in London markets. Nearly half the debt was bought by London-based investors, predominantly institutional investors. A loophole in EU and UK legislation has allowed sanctioned Russian banks, primarily VTB bank, to act as the main organisers – known as book runners – for the issuance of Russian debt.” The Guardian adds, “A public call for the loophole to be closed has been made three times in the past week by the foreign affairs select committee chairman, Tom Tugendhat.” Reuters adds, “Russia is watching closely ideas floated by British Prime Minister Theresa May to limit London’s role in marketing Russian debt to investors, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. Peskov said such ideas of limiting access to Russian debt, if implemented, would be harmful for Britain’s relations with other investors.” No, it would clean up the City.
SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE OPTS NOT TO FOLLOW THE MONEY
BuzzFeed reports, “The Senate Intelligence Committee, the last bipartisan body on Capitol Hill investigating potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, has requested information on dozens of key witnesses from the Treasury Department’s financial crimes unit in an attempt to follow the money,” however, “that list of 45 names does not include some of the most high-profile figures in the investigation: Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr., and the president himself.” What a strange way to follow the money! It is almost as if they are not following the money where it is most likely to be found.
FARABOOK: THE DEATH CULT GOP’S NEWEST FOIL
Fox News reports, “Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy sent a letter to social media giant Facebook, questioning the company’s relationship with Russian firms in light of the privacy scandal that compromised the personal data of more than 50 million users.” Fox News adds, “what the Republican senator said he found particularly troubling was a New York Times report in November that revealed two Russian state institutions with close ties to Vladimir Putin held substantial stakes in Facebook, via a Russian technology magnate, Yuri Milner. In total, Milner’s companies owned more than 8% of Facebook. Milner also holds a stake in a company co-owned by senior White House adviser Jared Kushner”. Of course, faux news Fox News notes Senator Kennedy “dismissed concerns, however, that Russians managed to influence the U.S. electorate to support Donald Trump during the presidential election.”

STILL OUT THERE: FARABOOK DATA STOLEN BY CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA
Channel Four in the UK reports, “Cambridge Analytica’s US campaign data, which was harvested from Facebook, is still circulating – despite assurances it has been deleted.” Channel Four adds, “The cache of campaign data from a Cambridge Analytica source, details 136,000 individuals in the US state of Colorado, along with each person’s personality and psychological profile.” As Channel Four notes, “the Colorado dataset, along with similar data for Oregon, suggests copies of the Facebook-derived data still exists, and raises questions about who still has them.”
From Channel Four.
CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA WHISTLEBLOWER ALSO MADE USE OF STOLEN DATA
BuzzFeed reports, “Christopher Wylie, the Cambridge Analytica cofounder who recently blew the whistle on the political consulting firm’s improper procurement of the personal data of millions of Facebook users, had the same data set when he was establishing a business of his own in 2014”. BuzzFeed adds, “The following year, that company, Eunoia Technologies, subsequently pitched Republican political operative Corey Lewandowski on microtargeting tools that could be deployed on behalf of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Emails from 2014 provided to BuzzFeed News show that Eunoia possessed a database of more than 50 million Facebook profiles at the time.” BuzzFeed notes, “Since blowing the whistle on Cambridge Analytica and its parent company, SCL Group, Wylie has said very little about Eunoia and his aspirations for it. He also has not spoken at all about his startup’s meeting with Lewandowski”. BuzzFeed adds, “The documents obtained by BuzzFeed and subsequent interviews with sources do not always cast Wylie in a flattering light, but they also do not call into question his claims about the improper transfer of Facebook user data to political consulting entities. After responding to an initial request for comment, Wylie’s attorney went dark and did not answer the questions BuzzFeed News put to her Tuesday.”
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! TROOPS TO MOVE FASTER THROUGH EUROPE!
Reuters reports the good news that “The European Union announced a plan on Wednesday to enable military personnel and equipment to be moved more quickly across Europe, which NATO sees as vital in the event of a conflict with Russia to overcome border delays and bridges too weak for tanks.” Yay! Reuters notes, “Russia’s Zapad war games on NATO’s eastern flank late last year raised alarm in Brussels and Washington that large-scale drills could accidentally trigger a conflict in eastern Europe but leave NATO unable to speedily mass troops there. Conflicting regulations across 28 EU countries, bridges and tunnels too narrow or weak for heavy equipment and few special allowances for transfers of U.S. troops all make it difficult for NATO, commanders say.” But now Europe is secure for faster troop mobility thanks to the EU’s Action Plan on Military Mobility! Nothing to worry about now! Especially since “The plan will now go to EU governments and the European Parliament for discussion,” Reuters notes, and then it’s onto the ultra speedy implementation phase! And if half of Europe is gone by then, either wiped off the map or fully in Russian control, well, then there will be even less work to do so everything can move even extra speedier then! Yay! The Wall Street Journal adds, “The U.S. now wants to step up readiness and ensure that at least 30,000 troops, plus additional aircraft and naval ships, can reach a trouble spot within 30 days of NATO commanders putting forces on alert.”
POLAND INKS DEAL FOR PATRIOT MISSILES
Defense News reports, “After years of laboring over details of a complex air and missile defense procurement deal, Poland signed a letter of offer and acceptance on March 28 with the U.S. government to buy Raytheon’s medium-range Patriot system currently in use by the U.S. Army.” Defense News notes, “Poland will buy — for what it’s calling its Wisla program — two Patriot Configuration 3+ batteries, the latest version of the system. There are two fire units per battery, so Raytheon will deliver four fire units total,” adding, “delivery is expected in 2022.” Reuters noted it is “the largest arms procurement deal in its history,” at $4.75 billion.
RUSSIAN FLYOVER NORTH POLE TO NORTH AMERICA, FIRST SINCE COLD WAR
Reuters reports, “Russia has conducted its first military training flight via the North Pole to North America since Soviet times, the [Russian state-run] RIA news agency cited Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu as saying on Wednesday.” Reuters adds, “Shoigu, addressing senior military commanders, was quoted as saying the flight had been carried out by Russian anti-submarine aircraft. He did not say when the flight took place, but his announcement coincides with a major naval exercise by the United States and Britain in the Arctic Circle”.
ESTONIA IMPOSES BAN ON MAGNITSKY ACT LIST OFFICIALS
Estonian Public Broadcasting reports, “The Estonian government with its Thursday decision has imposed an entry ban on individuals listed on the Magnitsky List.” Estonian Public Broadcasting adds, “Per the proposal, the entry ban will be imposed on 49 individuals included on the Magnitsky List.”
TANGLED UP IN BLUE
The Washington Post reports, “Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation just drew what appears to be its most direct line to date between President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia. That line is drawn in a new court filing related to the upcoming sentencing of London attorney Alex van der Zwaan.” The Washington Post adds, “Van der Zwaan has pleaded guilty to lying about his contacts with deputy Trump campaign manager Rick Gates and a person not named in the document, Person A. Person A appears to be a former Ukraine-based aide to Gates and Paul Manafort named Konstantin Kilimnik.” That’s great! Does it even matter though with active measures eroding our state and corroding it from within and John Bolton coming in as the National Security Advisor on April 9? Democracy is over anyways, but Mueller’s slow chug may save some scraps of the state for the next generation as this one is squandered. Lol nothing matters! But Gates GRU contact was probably Kilimnik. Isn’t that great? Mystery solved! Of course none of this is that special as the fact “That Person A has had ties to Russian intelligence is not terribly surprising. Kilimnik’s personal history has been examined extensively by the media,” you know, the fake news. Of course, “What’s particularly significant in the Mueller filing, though, are six words: ‘and had such ties in 2016.’” Yes, it’s significant if you have not been paying attention but then your eyes are closed and you do not give a shit anyways. Go shopping!
From The Washington Post.
BABY, YOU’RE A RICH MAN
BuzzFeed reports, “In court papers filed late Tuesday, special counsel Robert Mueller’s office argued that a judge shouldn’t rule out jail time for Alex van der Zwaan, a lawyer who pleaded guilty to lying to prosecutors and the FBI in the Russia investigation.” BuzzFeed adds, “The special counsel’s office did not take a position on what sentence they thought van der Zwaan should get — according to earlier filings, he faces an estimated sentencing guidelines range between zero to six months. But prosecutors pushed back on van der Zwaan’s arguments in favor of no jail time, such as the fact that his wife, who lives in London, is pregnant and is due in August.” His wife is the daughter of Russian oligarch German Khan. One thing TRUMPISTAN WATCH is more than ok with and suspects you are to is the family of an oligarch suffering a little bit for what they have put our nation through in the last few years. The wife is due in August and as BuzzFeed notes his in-laws seem particularly anti-democratic as “Van der Zwaan is the son-in-law of German Khan, a Russian bank owner who is suing BuzzFeed News over the publication of an unverified dossier of information concerning President Donald Trump.” But that should have no bearing on his sentencing because we are not a lawless country where we punish the relatives of people we do not like, unlike say, where his in-laws come from, occasionally, one can imagine, at their behest.

DEPARTURES: HOPE HICKS FINAL WEEK IS UPON US
CBS News reports, “The reign of Hope Hicks, the unflappable White House communications director and the right side of President Trump’s brain, comes to an end this week, leaving a communications team bitterly divided and an impetuous president increasingly isolated.” CBS News adds, “Staffers are approaching the post-Hicks era with trepidation, unsure what to expect in what they describe as a lawless White House featuring a president who thrives on chaos and resents authority, process and order.” CBS News notes, “In the meantime, Kellyanne Conway is expected to serve as interim communications director, according to sources in and out of the White House.” Expect things to get a little extra alternate fact-y than usual.

THE BEST PEOPLE: DISNEY PRINCESS JOINS RED CAPS IN REIGN OF TERROR
New York Magazine’s The Cut reports, “a former Disney child-star has joined the White House press team. Her name is Caroline Sunshine. She starred as Tinka Hessenheffer, a former Eastern European princess who escaped to America with her family to become a pop star in Disney’s Shake It Up. Sunshine also appeared in Marmaduke and the Lifetime movie Mommy, I Didn’t Do It.” She also clearly has terrible judgment or other serious issues to join the Trumpistani elites in this administration now, what with the expectation of thousands in legal bills and a blemish on one’s reputation for life saddled to it. The Cut adds, “Sunshine (yes, her real name) was recently promoted from White House intern to a full-time press assistant. Before, she interned for the office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee, and the California Republican Party”. Let this be a cautionary tale if you have children at home as to why you should turn off the Disney and raise them full globalist.
MORE TROUBLE FOR CORRUPT KAZAKH TRUMP CONDO OWNERS
Courthouse News Service reports, “As the ex-mayor of Almaty, Kazakhstan, battles allegations that his family systematically looted hundreds of millions of dollars in public funds, a U.S. magistrate approved sanctions Monday against this mayor’s son.” Courthouse News Service notes, “Part of international litigation about missing billions funneled around the world, the sprawling case stems from an audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers that discovered a $10 billion hole in the books of Kazakhstan’s BTA Bank. Courtroom battles against Almaty Mayor Viktor Khrapunov, his son Ilyas Khrapunov, and BTA’s former chairman Mukhtar Ablyazov soon cropped up in London, Paris, Los Angeles and here in New York. The elder Khrapunov served as the mayor of Almaty”. Courthouse News Service adds, “Though Khrapunov and his family have fended off claims by Almaty and Kazakhstan’s BTA Bank from Switzerland, where they now live, Kazakh prosecutors also opened up a criminal probe against BTA’s Ablyazov, a fugitive billionaire who styles himself a persecuted victim of his nation’s strongman Nursultan Nazarbayev.” Of course the news of the Khrapunovs corruption finds its way into TRUMPISTAN WATCH because though “not a focus of the New York lawsuit, the case of the fugitive Kazakh oligarchs has drawn press scrutiny for its reported connections to President Donald Trump,” as, “he Khrapunovs’ investments in one of three Trump Soho condominiums from the Bayock/Sapir Organization, co-owned by Trump’s former business associate Felix Sater,” has brought some attention to their rather fortunate plight.

YOU KNOW WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THAT WALL? THE MILITARY!
The Washington Post reports, “President Trump, who repeatedly insisted during the 2016 campaign that Mexico would pay for a wall along the southern border, is privately pushing the U.S. military to fund construction of his signature project.” The Washington Post adds, “After floating the notion to several advisers last week, Trump told House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) that the military should pay for the wall, according to three people familiar with the meeting last Wednesday in the White House residence. Ryan offered little reaction to the idea, these people said, but senior Capitol Hill officials later said it was an unlikely prospect.” The Washington Post continues, “In another interaction with senior aides last week, Trump noted that the Defense Department was getting so much money as part of the spending bill that the Pentagon could surely afford the border wall, two White House officials said.” The Washington Post notes, “White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders deflected a question Tuesday about money dedicated to the military being used to fund construction of the wall.” Of course, “the military is not likely to fund the wall, according to White House and Defense Department officials,” The Washington Post adds, citing obvious reality.

ICE WON’T DEPORT A NAZI AS NAZIS ARE IN POWER HERE NOW
The Daily Beast reports, “Last year, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported 226,119 people. Jakiw Palij wasn’t one of them,” even though, “Palij is a war criminal, the last Nazi war criminal living in the United States.” The Daily Beast notes, “Palij served as a guard during World War II at the Trawniki forced labor camp, which also trained those participating in ‘Operation Reinhard,’ a plan to exterminate every Jew in German-occupied Poland. He entered the country in 1949 without divulging his past and was later awarded citizenship, of which he was stripped by a federal judge in 2004 and ordered deported.” The Daily Beast adds, “Palij, now 94, remains a free man because no one else wants him, either,” as Germany, Ukraine and Poland don’t want him and putting a Nazi in a detention facility along with run of the mill hard working immigrants would not jive well with a regime that thinks among such racist butchers there must be “some very fine people”. Palij lives in Queens, where our fake Russian bullshit president is from.

DARKNESS AT NUNES OPPONENT RAISES $1 MILLION
CNN reports, “A Democratic candidate challenging House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes took in more than $1 million in the first quarter of 2018, a sign of Democrats’ enthusiasm to oust the California congressman who has allied himself closely with President Donald Trump.” CNN adds, “Andrew Janz, the Deputy District Attorney in Fresno County, is still considered a long shot in his bid to unseat Nunes. CNN currently rates the 22nd District as a ‘safe Republican’ seat. But Nunes’ role in running interference for Trump on the investigations into Russia’s role in the 2016 election has made him a target for Democrats nationwide.” Naturally, “The campaign received a huge influx in fundraising cash from donors across the country in the wake of Nunes role in releasing a controversial memo detailing concerns Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee had with the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election,” CNN notes. So, TRUMPISTAN WATCHians, this is not about party, this is about country. If you are a U.S. citizen, do what you can to help unseat Nunes and fellow Russia-loving California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher. There must be consequences for all their Russia love and interference running.
#METOO IN RUSSIA: OUTSPOKEN NATIONALIST ZHIRINOVSKY IS GAY
The American Interest reports on how #MeToo hit Russia with a parliamentary scandal involving MP Leonid Slutsky who was cleared by a committee of harassment after allegations surfaced from journalists, who had of course well documented evidence. The result is an “unprecedented” boycott of the Duma by “at least two dozen media outlets”. And appearing in print in U.S. media for the first time, The American Interest notes, “Last week, reports surfaced that the LDPR party leader and perennial presidential candidate Vladimir Zhirinovsky is also gay, and has been accused of harassing young boys. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty journalist and Current Time TV host Renat Davletgildeev, 31, publicly accused the 71-year-old Zhirinovsky of having harassed him twelve years ago. The politician allegedly touched the young journalist by his legs, and Zhirinovsky’s bodyguards offered Davletgildeev to go to the sauna with him. Zhirinovsky has not reacted to the charges, while his son Igor Lebedev, also a Duma deputy, promised to punch the journalist in the face if he ever bumps into him.” Zhirinovsky you may recall toasted Trump on the night of his coup and former CIA agent John Sipher has described him on Twitter as “dangerous” noting, “recall him burning holes with his cigarette in a world map describing what Russia would do to its enemies.”

FAKE NEWS ALERT! TRUMP TWEETS FAKE BORDER WALL PICS
BuzzFeed reports, “President Trump on Wednesday tweeted that he had been briefed about ‘the start of our Southern Border WALL’ and included pictures depicting construction of the project, but there was one slight problem with the announcement. The images tweeted by the president were not of his long-promised wall, but a months-long project to replace existing portions of the wall in Calexico, California.”

Consider this part of a much larger golden parachute.

KELLYANNE IS ALSO BEING TROLLED FROM THE BEDROOM
Business Insider reports, “Kellyanne Conway is the the counselor to President Donald Trump and one of his most trusted advisers. She regularly defends him in the press and is well-known for her feuds on cable TV,” because that is what passes for news in the infotainment era of the 21st century. Business Insider notes, “her husband, George Conway, raised eyebrows on Wednesday when he responded on Twitter to reports that Trump discussed pardoning former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. ‘This is flabbergasting,’ Conway said in a tweet while linking to a New York Times story about the matter.” Business Insider adds, “Conway’s tweet on Wednesday isn’t the only time he’s publicly deviated from something Trump has said or done. Last year, when Trump vented about the striking down of his travel ban, Conway criticised Trump’s approach, suggesting that his public grievance would ultimately hurt his case. In another example earlier this month, Conway seemed to support Mueller’s investigation”.

FARABOOK IS EAGER TO RESTORE YOUR ILLUSIONS
TechCrunch reports FARAbook “announced a new set of changes to help users find and change their privacy settings, as well as download and delete whatever data has been collected through Facebook’s network of social media services.” Remember: your data that was given to or stolen by Cambridge Analytica and whoever else is gone forever and everything they are promising to do now they long ago promised the Federal Trade Commission they would do and then subsequently did not. Also remember FARAbook is not sorry, only sorry they got caught. But they are also very sorry that they destroyed your illusions of privacy. Tech Crunch notes, “What today’s changes do not do is provide any indications that Facebook plans to do anything different in terms of what information it’s gathering and using to run its service, and its bigger, profitable business,” and adds, “a lot of people already downloading their Facebook data in the last week or so (without today’s update),” are “shocked by the amount of information that had been amassed through Facebook’s various apps across web and mobile.” What do you expect people when you are the product, not the consumer and the company selling you is funded in part by a Kremlin front? More than just a proto-Stasi, FARAbook is a proto-Stasi that sold itself like the whores they are to a foreign adversary wittingly or unwittingly. Do whores care? Not if they get paid.
ECUADOR CUTS J-ASS FROM THE INTERNET
NPR reports, “The government of Ecuador has cut off the Internet connection for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange inside its London embassy, saying that he was jeopardizing its relationships with other countries through his posts on social media.” LOL! They did not think to do this before or think of this before they took in the Kremlin’s favorite disinfo op? NPR notes, “In a statement, Ecuador said that Assange violated a written contract with its government in late 2017, ‘for which he’s obligated not to issue messages that would interfere with relationships with other nations.’ It added that through his social media posts, Assange was putting in danger the ‘good relations that the country maintains with the United Kingdom, with the rest of the European Union and with other nations.’ That prompted Ecuador on Tuesday to interrupt Assange’s ‘external connections,’ adding that there are other potential measures it could take.” Does that include putting Julian Asswipe out?
