The Washington Post
reports in former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s new book “Facts and Fears,” he writes, “Of course the Russian efforts affected the outcome. Surprising even themselves, they swung the election to a Trump win. To conclude otherwise stretches logic, common sense, and credulity to the breaking point. Less than eighty thousand votes in three key states swung the election. I have no doubt that more votes than that were influenced by this massive effort by the Russians.” In other words our fake Russian bullshit president came to power in a way that suggests not only foreign meddling but an influence over the results, i.e. a coup. Now just one question: why did it take so long for it to come out in such simple language and who among the unconvinced will believe it now?

From The Washington Post.

The New York Times reports, “A significant business partner of Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer, has agreed to cooperate with the government as a potential witness, a development that could be used as leverage to pressure Mr. Cohen to work with the special counsel examining Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Under the deal reached with the New York attorney general’s office, the partner, Evgeny A. Freidman, a Russian immigrant who is known as the Taxi King, specifically agreed to assist government prosecutors in state or federal investigations”. Feel the heat Michael Cohen, feel the fire. Cohen will either flip or be a suicide soon enough. The New York Times notes, “The broadened scope of Mr. Freidman’s cooperation may prove worrisome not only to Mr. Cohen, who is the target of a continuing federal investigation, but also Mr. Trump.” The New York Times notes, “Mr. Freidman has been Mr. Cohen’s partner in the taxi business for years, managing cabs for him even after New York City regulators barred Mr. Freidman last year from continuing to manage medallions,” adding, “Mr. Freidman, who was disbarred earlier this month, had been accused of failing to pay more than $5 million in taxes and faced four counts of criminal tax fraud and one of grand larceny — all B felonies. Each carries a maximum prison sentence of up to 25 years in prison. Instead, he appeared in court in Albany on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a single count of evading only $50,000 worth of taxes; he will avoid jail time and receive five years of probation if he fulfills the terms of his agreement”. How sweet it is to turn on you, Michael Cohen!

From The New York Times.

The New York Times reports, “During an impromptu meeting at the Polo Bar in Midtown Manhattan just weeks before the 2016 election, Michael D. Cohen and Andrew Intrater struck up a conversation about investing in the taxi business.” The New York Times adds, “Mr. Intrater, an American private equity executive whose cousin and largest client is a Russian oligarch, was looking for new investment opportunities.” The New York Times notes, “Over the next year, the two men sat together at one of Mr. Trump’s inauguration dinners along with the oligarch, Viktor Vekselberg, one of the richest men in Russia; Mr. Intrater’s firm, Columbus Nova, signed Mr. Cohen to a $1 million consulting contract; and Mr. Cohen urged Mr. Intrater to attend Republican fund-raising events after the inauguration.” Yet for some reason The New York Times writes, “Little in the way of deals ever materialized.” What? The New York Times adds, “After seven months and $580,000 in payments, Columbus Nova parted ways with him.” So half a million in unearned money is nothing? It isn’t not something.

reports, “Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Tuesday that someone in his department may have leaked banking records of President Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen and confirmed that an investigation is underway. Mnuchin also slammed any whistleblowers who leaked suspicious activity reports about Cohen.” What a disgrace Mnuchin is; instead of investigating all the financial crimes around the regime of the fake Russian bullshit president this is how he chooses to waste the present moment and destroy the future in freedom. POLITICO adds, “Mnuchin said he is not personally involved in the matter. But citing ‘misinformation about this in the press,’ he said law enforcement agencies can request that certain information be suppressed. ‘We do have the ability to suppress important information,’ he said. ‘And for different law enforcement reasons, as you can appreciate, this is often done.’”

Bloomberg reports, “Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has asked about flows of money into the Cyprus bank account of a company that specializes in social media manipulation and whose founder reportedly met with Donald Trump, Jr. in August 2016”. Bloomberg adds, “The inquiry is drawing attention to PSY Group, an Israeli firm that pitched its services to super-PACs and other entities during the 2016 election. Those services included infiltrating target audiences with elaborately crafted social-media personas and spreading misleading information through websites meant to mimic news portals, according to interviews and PSY Group documents seen by Bloomberg News.” The company is owned by Joel Zamel, who was the subject of a lengthy New York Times piece last weekend over his ties to the Trump campaign and the United Arab Emirates and a convicted pedophile, George Nader, who has been drawn into the UAE’s and Trump’s orbit. Think of pizzagate and the first rule of propaganda: accuse your opponent of that which you are guilty of yourself.

The Wall Street Journal reports, “A company,” Psy Group, “owned by Joel Zamel, an Israeli entrepreneur whose work has drawn the scrutiny of special counsel Robert Mueller, formed a strategic partnership with a data firm,” Cambridge Analytica, “for President Donald Trump’s campaign in a joint bid to win business from the U.S. government and other clients after the 2016 election”.

ABC News reports, “The White House says a briefing for congressional leaders with top FBI and Justice Department officials will happen on Thursday. The purpose is to review highly classified information the lawmakers have been seeking on the handling of the Russia investigation. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says Reps. Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy as well as FBI Director Christopher Wray, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and Ed O’Callaghan of the Justice Department will be attending.” ABC News notes, “She says no White House staffersincluding chief of staff John Kelly — will be present.” The Hill adds, “no Democrats are invited.”

From ABC News and The Hill.

CNN reports, “House Speaker Paul Ryan said Tuesday he supports the Justice Department’s decision to have an inspector general review the FBI’s use of a confidential source to speak with aides during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign as part of its investigation into Russian meddling.” Like the phony he is, Ryan pretends, “It’s really important that we conduct a proper oversight of the executive branch to make sure that that power is not or has not or will not be abused,” adding, “That’s ultimately the big picture of what’s going on here,” when of course it is anything but that.

Reuters reports, “Senior Trump administration officials warned Congress on Tuesday of ongoing efforts by Russia to interfere in the 2018 midterm congressional elections as the federal government prepares to hand out $380 million in election security funding to states. At a briefing attended by about 40 or 50 members of the 435-member U.S. House of Representatives, the heads of FBI, Homeland Security Department and the director of National Intelligence said states and cities overseeing elections need to be prepared for threats.”

Yahoo! News reports, “Mark Zuckerberg has apologised for ‘harm’ caused by Facebook in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal – but his response was branded ‘inadequate.’” Too polite. Yahoo! adds, “The Facebook founder made the comment as he was quizzed over the scandal which hit 87 million of its users – including 1.1 million in the UK – at the European Parliament,” which likely remains an undercount as these numbers always do seem to be revised upward at a later date. Yahoo! notes, “Facebook is doubling the number of staff tasked with taking down unsafe content and was hiring an army of fact checkers, he reassured them. But MEPs said the apology would count for nothing without concrete action to prevent the misuse of data and provide transparency over Facebook’s influence on politics. Liberal MEP Guy Verhofstadt described Zuckerberg’s answers as ‘totally inadequate. And he warned the Facebook boss that he risked going down in history as a ‘a genius who created a digital monster that is destroying our democracies and our societies.’” Getting warmer now! Yahoo! News adds, “One of the few points that Zuckerberg responded to in detail was raised by UKIP’s Nigel Farage. Farage said Brexit could not have happened without Facebook, but said he and other right-wing politicians had seen a 25% drop in views and engagements of their posts on the site since its algorithm was changed in January. Zuckerberg said changes had been made to prioritise the content of family and friends rather than political content, but insisted Facebook was not politically biased.” Indeed here Zuck is telling the truth as clearly FARAbook has no values and just loves money.

The New York Daily News reports, “A federal judge warned a child porn suspect Monday to keep quiet about his case — one week after reports revealed he is suspected of leaking valuable CIA hacking tools. Prosecutors said in Manhattan Federal Court that the terms of a September 2017 protective order regarding the case of Joshua Schulte, 29, had been broken by recent articles revealing he is under investigation for leaking the closely guarded cyber tools.” The New York Daily News adds, “Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Laroche said the government had recordings of Schulte’s phone calls from prison with people believed to be reporters.” Dood, in addition to shitty opsec phone calls from prison are of course recorded, especially when it comes to national security matters.

The Washington Post reports, “In 2013, Jurijs Martisevs says, he was contacted by Russian law enforcement. The agents from the Federal Security Service, or FSB, told him the U.S. government was seeking information on him, Martisevs testified in court last week. But he said the Russians did not want to hand him over — they wanted his help.” The Washington Post notes, “At the time, Martisevs was helping run a service based overseas that helped hackers get past anti-virus programs. His testimony in a U.S. court in Virginia helped lead to the conviction of his partner in that business, but it also shed light on the symbiotic relationship between Russian intelligence and the criminal underworld.” The Washington Post adds, “The partner, Ruslan Bondars, 37, was found guilty Wednesday of several hacking-related crimes; Martisevs pleaded guilty earlier this year. Martisevs is set to be sentenced in July, Bondars in September.” The Washington Post recalls, “The Virginia case centers on a service created by Bondars and Martisevs called Scan4You. It analyzed files and told the client if their malware would be identified by anti-virus programs as malicious. Authorities said Scan4You was used by hackers to steal banking and credit card information, including a massive attack on Target customers.” The Washington Post notes, “Bondars lived in Latvia; Martisevs was from Moscow but visited Riga regularly and was arrested there. Both were extradited to the United States by Latvia. The case ended up in federal court in Alexandria because one hacker who used Scan4You was based in Northern Virginia.”

reports, “President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday said he was expelling the top U.S. diplomat in Venezuela and his deputy for allegedly conspiring against his government and trying to sabotage the country’s recent presidential election.” Maduro gave “charge d’affaires Todd Robinson and his deputy Brian Naranjo 48 hours to leave the country.” POLITICO adds, “Maduro said in his speech that Robinson and Naranjo, whom he referred to as the head of the CIA in Venezuela, both personally pressured several anti-government presidential aspirants not to compete in the race. Most opposition parties decided to boycott after officials blocked their most popular leaders from competing. Maduro also accused the Trump administration, which slapped new sanctions on his government Monday, of seeking to escalate ‘aggressions’ against the Venezuelan people.”

The Guardian reports, “The UK foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, has joined the US in condemning ‘divisive’ German plans to press ahead with the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to Germany, arguing it could leave European energy consumers heavily dependent on ‘a malign Russian state’.” Boris, do you want to know a secret, an open secret? The Guardian notes, “The pipeline, and the terms on which it is built, has become the litmus test of a dispute on how Europe can reach a working relationship with Moscow and yet defend its liberal values from a Russian threat.” All TRUMPISTAN WATCH asks is that this not become the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline of the post-former USA, Trumpistani world for Russia. The Guardian notes however that we basically have nothing as, “In a letter released to pro-Polish British MPs, Johnson says it is right to highlight the ‘divisiveness of this pipeline across Europe’, adding that ‘Euro-Atlantic unity remains our strongest tool in standing up to malign Russian activity’.” The Guardian notes, “The 745-mile (1,200km) $11.7bn (£8.7bn) Nord Stream 2 is due to be completed in 2019 and will run through the Baltic Sea to Germany,” which tells you something very important: if this timeline is correct, they are building it already as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, often referred to as “the contract of the century” as it was the biggest geopolitical victory in the aftermath of the Cold War, took five years to construct little more than a decade ago, unless The Guardian is way, way off here (it has been before).

Meduza reports, “According to the television station RTVI, American lobbyists working for the Russian businessmen Mikhail Fridman and Petr Aven (‘two of the most “pro-Western Russian oligarchs”’) arranged for them to meet with several influential Washington figures at a private roundtable on May 21 at the Atlantic Council think tank.” Meduza adds, “According to a leaked photograph of the event’s attendance list, the roundtable included Clay Berry (the deputy assistant secretary of the Office of Capital Markets in the U.S. Treasury’s Domestic Finance Office), as well as several prominent ‘Russia hands,’ like Angela Stent, Anders Åslund, Ariel Cohen, Stephen Sestanovich, and others.”

The Moscow Times reports, “A Russian anti-fascist activist accused of planning terrorist attacks has said that he was tortured in custody by security forces who demanded he retract previous torture allegations. Dmitry Pchelintsev, 25, is one of several anti-fascists who were detained in the cities of Penza and St. Petersburg as part of a Federal Security Service’s (FSB) investigation into alleged terror plots planned for the presidential elections and the World Cup. In February, Pchelintsev said he had been forced to confess to plotting the attacks after being tortured in a prison cell shortly after his arrest in October.” The Moscow Times adds, “The Feb. 10 encounter, one day after Pchelintsev’s account was published on the Mediazona news website, reportedly included threats of gang-rape against his wife.” The Moscow Times notes, “‘If they point at something white and say it’s black, you say “black.” If they cut your finger and tell you to eat it, you eat it,’ the officer was quoted as saying.” The Moscow Times adds, “‘If I once again retract my testimony about torture, confess to the absurd accusation and implicate others, or if something happens to me within the walls of pre-trial detention or the FSB — that means I was tortured again,’ Pchelintsev warned.” So if you or someone you know plans on attending the World Cup in Russia, know this is the price you are paying for your seats, in blood. Twenty-five is a very young age to endure such brutality; ask what you were doing and thinking at such a tender age.

The New York Post reports, “President Trump is appealing once again to dodge a defamation suit filed by former ‘Apprentice’ contestant Summer Zervos. After the state’s mid-level Appellate Division last week denied the stay — agreeing with a lower court’s ruling in March — Trump’s lawyer Marc Kasowitz on Tuesday petitioned the state’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, to delay the suit.” The New York Post adds, “Kasowitz is arguing that the US Constitution provides sitting presidents with immunity from civil litigation while in office.” The New York Post recalls, “Zervos is suing the commander-in-chief for defamation after she in 2016 accused then-candidate Trump of groping her and pressing his junk against her — and he responded by saying her claims were ‘fiction’ that she made up for ‘personal gain.’” A useful guide to these suits from a Trumpian perspective: all women who accuse Trump are lying, all heil the leader of the death cult.

The New York Times reports, “Nearly two months into Mr. Bolton’s tenure, some people familiar with the National Security Council say the influence of his associates can be seen in the agency’s effort to crack down on leaks, as well as an exodus of agency staff members and a roster of candidates now under consideration to take their place, and have taken to calling the associates a ‘shadow N.S.C.’” The New York Times notes, “One of Mr. Bolton’s longtime associates, Charles M. Kupperman, a former Reagan administration official and defense contracting executive, has taken a temporary leadership post on the National Security Council, while at least three others — Frederick H. Fleitz, Sarah Tinsley and David Wurmser — are believed to be under consideration for posts.” The New York Times adds, “Mr. Bolton’s relationships with most of the associates date back decades, to his days working in positions related to foreign policy in the Reagan administration. But he continued working with them in the dozen years since he has been out of government, serving as an adviser to Mr. Wurmser’s company, according to its website, while relying on Mr. Kupperman, Ms. Tinsley and several other associates to help run a constellation of conservative political organizations that he founded to advance his foreign policy views and political prospects.” The New York Times notes, “Mr. Bolton’s continued reliance on longtime associates in either informal or temporary capacities at the National Security Council has raised concerns among government watchdog organizations and agency veterans and scholars. They say it creates questions of conflicts of interest and an echo chamber of identical views with little room for dissent at the agency charged with coordinating policy throughout the government’s military, foreign policy and intelligence communities and synthesizing the best advice for the president.” The New York Times adds, “People familiar with Mr. Bolton’s cadre of advisers say that arguably the most influential among them is a low-profile 64-year-old consultant named Matthew C. Freedman, who has been close to Mr. Bolton since the two met in the early 1980s at the United States Agency for International Development,” who “went on to become a foreign lobbyist working with Paul Manafort in the 1980s and 1990s for sometimes unsavory but well-paying foreign leaders, including Ferdinand Marcosthe Philippine strongman.”

The AP reports, “After a year spent carefully cultivating two princes from the Arabian Peninsula, Elliott Broidy, a top fundraiser for President Donald Trump, thought he was finally close to nailing more than $1 billion in business. He had ingratiated himself with crown princes from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, who were seeking to alter U.S. foreign policy and punish Qatar, an archrival in the Gulf that he dubbed ‘the snake.’” The AP adds, “To do that, the California businessman had helped spearhead a secret campaign to influence the White House and Congress, flooding Washington with political donations. Broidy and his business partner, Lebanese-American George Nader, pitched themselves to the crown princes as a backchannel to the White House”. The AP notes, “Now, in December 2017, Broidy was ready to be rewarded for all his hard work. It was time to cash in. In return for pushing anti-Qatar policies at the highest levels of America’s government, Broidy and Nader expected huge consulting contracts from Saudi Arabia and the UAE”. The report continues, “The AP has previously reported that Broidy and Nader sought to get an anti-Qatar bill through Congress while obscuring the source of the money behind their influence campaign. A new cache of emails obtained by the AP reveals an ambitious, secretive lobbying effort to isolate Qatar and undermine the Pentagon’s longstanding relationship with the Gulf country.” Of course the AP notes, “Neither Broidy nor Nader registered with the U.S. government under the Foreign Agents Registration Act”. Hilariously, implausibly, “Broidy has maintained he was not required to register because his anti-Qatar campaign was not directed by a foreign client and came entirely at his own initiative.” The AP adds, “At Nader’s request, $2.5 million was channeled in two installments from his company in the UAE through a Canadian company called Xiemen Investments Limited, which someone familiar with the transaction said was run by one of Broidy’s friends. The money was then routed to a Broidy account in Los Angeles.” The AP notes, “Armed with fresh cash, Broidy pitched Nader a media blitz that would put the fire to Qatar. He’d persuaded an American think tank, Foundation for Defense of Democracies, to stage an anti-Qatar conference.” This was one of the most pro-Iraq War think tanks around for those of you with shorter memories. Broidy also paid enough money into the RNC coffers for “a picture of Nader and Trump grinning in front of the American flag.” How patriotic! The AP adds, “Days after Broidy’s meeting with Trump, the UAE awarded Broidy the intelligence contract the partners had been seeking for up to $600 million over 5 years, according to a leaked email.”

From the AP.

The AP recalls, “Broidy, who made a fortune in investments, was finance chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2006 to 2008. But when a New York state pension fund decided to invest $250 million with him, investigators found that he had plied state officials with nearly $1 million in illegal gifts while collecting $18 million in management fees. In 2009, Broidy pleaded guilty to a felony charge of rewarding official misconduct.” The AP adds, “Three years later, Broidy’s conviction was knocked down to a misdemeanor after he agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and pay back the $18 million to the state.” He was most recently vice-chair until he was revealed to be Michael Cohen’s client following the FBI raid on Cohen’s life. Broidy acknowledged he knocked up a Playboy Playmate and paid for her abortion, like a true gentleman. So convicted felon and general sleazebag – check! And the AP notes simply, “Nader’s problem was pedophilia,” adding, “As a young Lebanese immigrant to the U.S. in the 1980s, he quickly established himself as a forceful independent operator, founding a policy magazine called Middle East Insight. By the ’90s, he had risen as a behind-the-scenes player, setting up dinners for Israeli and Arab dignitaries with Washington power brokers and U.S. lawmakers. But in May 2003, Nader was convicted in the Czech Republic of 10 counts of sexually abusing minors and sentenced to a one-year prison term,” noting, “He served his time in Prague, according to Czech authorities, then was expelled from the country.” Quite naturally in Washington and the Gulf, “That sordid past was no obstacle as Nader cultivated a formidable list of high-powered contacts.” The AP recalls, “After the 2003 Iraq war ended, he re-emerged there, as contractors were making a fortune helping the U.S. coalition and the post-Saddam Hussein government rebuild the country and arm its military,” working for Erik Prince’s notorious Blackwater because lawless war zones are a better place than most for a convicted pedophile to remake their image and get some kiddie molesting in unpunished. The AP notes, “Nader has been living in the UAE, working as an adviser to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi crown prince known as MBZ.” Drain the swamp! Hasten the search for bottom feeders!

From the AP.

A true gem is buried in this delectable tale of corruption and FARA violations. The AP reports in an email to Elliot Broidy, “‘You have to hear in private my Brother what Principals think of “Clown prince’s” efforts and his plan!’ Nader wrote. ‘Nobody would even waste cup of coffee on him if it wasn’t for who he is married to.’” Voilà behold princeling Jared is hereby coronated “Clown princeling” Jared. A royal title befitting of his royal bullshit!

Bloomberg reports, “Cadre, a real estate technology start up co-founded by and partly owned by White House senior advisor Jared Kushner, is discussing an investment of at least $100 million from a private fund that receives much of its capital from the governments of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates”. Bloomberg adds, “A top executive of Cadre,” who is unnamed, “met privately in recent months with representatives of the SoftBank Vision Fund, a technology investment vehicle that gets almost half its $100 billion from the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund. The United Arab Emirates has put at last $15 billion into the Vision Fund”. Cadre: Theranos for a whole new era but without a charismatic saleswoman, just old-fashioned political nepotistic clout? The New York Times reports, “President Trump praised Gina Haspel on Monday as she was sworn in as the director of the Central Intelligence Agency”. Ok what’s so insane about that since we have all neatly folded up the torture non-debate that surrounded her confirmation into our pockets beside last week’s massacre of Palestinians days before we learned an Israeli named Joel Zamel helped Trump steal the White House? Well, it goes on! The New York Times notes, “some Trump allies were accusing her of being part of the ‘deep state’ conspiracy,” and then goes on to quote one as if he is someone worthy of the imprimatur of a New York Times quote! The New York Times adds, “they have questioned whether Ms. Haspel, a 33-year veteran of the spy agency who was the C.I.A.’s station chief in London, knew of the F.B.I.’s highly secretive interview of an Australian diplomat in London, and was aware that the bureau used an informant to gather information there from Trump associates about possible Russian coordination with Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign.” Then, who does the one-time paper of record quote? Jack fucking Posobiec – shit you not! “‘Who was the CIA London Station Chief in 2016?’ Jack Posobiec, a pro-Trump conspiracy theorist with a large Twitter following, asked in a tweet last week. ‘Gina Haspel.’” And the man Senator John McCain said is working for Putin on the floor of the Senate, Rand Paul, wrote a letter and “asked Ms. Haspel if the C.I.A. had been involved in spying on Mr. Trump or if the agency had cooperated with foreign intelligence services to monitor Mr. Trump in the years before he officially became a candidate.” But that’s not all! Frank Gaffney, noted Islamophobe, makes a cameo! You see Gaffney “was particularly angry at the comments Ms. Haspel made during her confirmation hearing about whether she would follow a presidential order she considered immoral (she said she would not).”

POLITICO reports, “Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen appeared to express unfamiliarity with one of the intelligence community’s key conclusions about Russian interference in the 2016 election — that the Kremlin intended to help Donald Trump get elected.” Does America’s other Aryan princess read the papers or pay attention to anything other than taking away kids from immigrant parents? POLITICO adds, “‘I do not believe that I’ve seen that conclusion that the specific intent was to help President Trump win,’ she told reporters at the Capitol. ‘I’m not aware of that.’” Even this was too much for a woman who once said under oath that she did not know if Norway was a majority white nation as, “just hours after Nielsen’s remarks began making the rounds – drawing rebukes from Democrats — the Department of Homeland Security issued a lengthy statement emphasizing that Nielsen ‘has previously reviewed’ the intelligence community’s assessment ‘and agrees with it.’”

The Washington Post reports, “One of the foremost broadcast reporters in the country,” Leslie Stahl of “60 Minutes,” “said this week that President Trump admitted to her that his relentless attacks on the press was a strategy to discredit reporters and news media organizations to shield himself from negative coverage.” The Washington Post notes Stahl “made the disclosure on Monday during an interview with Judy Woodruff of ‘PBS NewsHour’ at a journalism award presentation in New York.” The fact that anyone needed to be told is an indicator of how little thinking we do in Trumpistani society along with its great guardian, the so-called Fourth Estate, the “free press,” which is only so free if you work for it and get paid in pennies. According to Stahl, Trump told her during his post-election interview, “I do it to discredit you all and demean you all, so when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you,” but for some reason this did not make it to air. And because the official language of Trumpistan is stupid, “A poll in April found three out of four Americans believe that traditional news organizations report ‘fake news,’ though the term’s meaning has become murky,” The Washington Post notes.

CNN reports, “On Monday afternoon at 4 p.m., Michael Flynn Jr. tweeted this: ‘You’re all going down. You know who you are. Mark my word….’” Now Jr. has a habit of talking shit so it’s unclear why CNN sees this as fodder enough for a story given his father’s plea deal with the FBI and total lack of credibility but hey that is modern “journalism”. And the story that follows is not even accurate when it reports, “Even as his father has disappeared from public view since last December’s guilty plea, Michael Flynn Jr. has continued to tweet up a storm,” because the elder Flynn has surfaced to endorse a nutjob in person in California and on video to back another in Montana. After all, he is a martyr of the death cult GOP now, the same death cult that accused Obama of being an Islamic extremist for years despite the total absence of martyrs from his orbit. CNN adds to this stellar reporting, “The biggest one is who is the ‘you’ Flynn Jr. is referring to? Is it people within the Trump administration who he thinks have sold his dad out? Is it the alleged ‘deep state’ actors like former FBI Director James Comey, former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe and special counsel Mueller? Someone else?” Because really who the fuck cares? The Daily Beast reports, “British law enforcement officials vowed to continue their pursuit of Cambridge Analytica via criminal probes into individual members of staff after the company sent its remaining employees home and reportedly told them the company would be liquidated on Tuesday.” Tough talk should never be believed until it is matched with tough action and someone actually goes to jail. The Daily Beast notes, “Shuttering the company makes it impossible for the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO) to impose financial sanctions on Cambridge Analytica—or individuals who worked for the political consultancy—but investigators will still be able to pursue criminal proceedings. An official at the ICO said their investigation would press ahead undeterred.” The Daily Beast adds, “The American investigation is reportedly focused on financial dealings and how the company acquired and used data from Facebook. Delgado tweeted, along with a Fox Business interview with former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka. Gorka said it would be a serious issue to place an asset in another party’s campaign for political purposes ― if the accusations turned out to be true.” The Huffington Post adds, “Delgado then defended her position, saying she didn’t feel the need to subscribe to conspiracy theories.” After the coup she gave birth to a child and announced Jason Miller, a married fellow campaign staffer and now CNN contributor, was the baby’s daddy and was not much of one at that.

Courthouse News Service reports, “The former spokesman for the family of slain DNC staffer Seth Rich brought federal defamation claims Monday against a media outlet that advances the theory Rich was a WikiLeaks source killed by Democratic Party insiders.” Courthouse News Service notes, “Brad Bauman, a partner at the political consultancy The Pastorum Group, began acting as an unpaid spokesperson for the Rich family just after Rich, 27, was gunned down in July 2016. Police have said Rich was shot and killed in a botched robbery, but WikiLeaks helped fuel conspiracy theories about the DNC staffer by announcing a $20,000 reward for information about his death.” Courthouse News Service recalls, “In May 2017, as news of Russian meddling in the 2016 president election dominated most media outlets, Fox News disseminated a story that suggested a private investigator had found emails between Rich and WikiLeaks. Fox retracted the article one week later, but several lawsuits over the report remain pending.” Courthouse News Service adds, “The first of the lawsuits came from Rod Wheeler, the detective credited as the source of the information. It takes aim both at Fox and Ed Butowsky, the wealthy Dallas investor and frequent Fox contributor who hired Wheeler to investigate Rich’s death. Rich’s parents brought negligence claims against the same defendants earlier this year, but a separate lawsuit by Rich’s brother accuses Butowsky of defamation. The Washington Times, America First Media Group and America First Media Group founder Matthew Couch are also named as defendants. Bauman’s lawsuit, which was filed by the firm Bailey Glasser, is similar to the brother’s suit, taking aim at Butowsky, America First, Couch and Heavin, who is described as a frequent guest of the Alex Jones program InfoWars. Bauman says the defendants have accused him of being a DNC plant working to cover for Rich’s murder.”

ABC News reports, “Just three weeks before a planned summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, President Donald Trump is hosting South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday for talks as they work to assess whether North Korea’s commitment to rid itself of its nuclear program is genuine. Moon has long been a driving force behind the diplomacy between the United States and North Korea, and personally encouraged Trump to meet with Kim. In March, Moon sent special envoys to North Korea to encourage talks between Pyongyang and Washington.” ABC News recalls, “Last week, North Korea scrapped a series of follow up high-level talks with South Korea and threatened to cancel the upcoming Singapore summit between Trump and Kim in protest of the ongoing military drills between the United States and South Korea.” After all the kerfuffle the North Koreans made last week over National Security Advisor John Bolton’s dingbat comments that denuclearization would follow the Libya model (whilst ignoring how Qaddafi met his demise), Trump said, “The Libyan model isn’t a model that we have at all, when we’re thinking of North Korea,” adding, “There was no deal to keep Qaddafi. The Libyan model that was mentioned was a much different deal. This would be with Kim Jong-un — something where he’d be there, he’d be in his country, he’d be running his country. His country would be very rich.” Sounds like the Trump University swindle all over again besides being bizarrely wildly inappropriate in this context. The Washington Post notes the North Koreans are not alone in this perception as “in South Korea, many say the blame for the sudden problems in the diplomatic process lies squarely at the feet of someone else: John Bolton.” The Washington Post adds, “After meetings with top officials here last week, one American analyst remarked — only half in jest — that the South Koreans detested Bolton as much as the North Koreans,” as does pretty much anyone else with a brain. BBC News adds in a total bluff, “US President Donald Trump has said there is a ‘very substantial chance’ a historic summit with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un next month may not happen,” but really what else does the fake president have going on?

From ABC News, The Washington Post and BBC News.

The Washington Examiner reports, “The summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is still weeks away, but the White House has already minted a special coin to commemorate the historic meeting. The presidential travel coin depicts Trump face-to-face with the ‘supreme leader’ under a banner saying ‘peace talks’ with each country’s flag as a backdrop, according to photos posted by news outlets on Twitter Monday.” #NotMySupremeLeader! There are only 250 such coins, so if you love TRUMPISTAN WATCH and are thinking of just the right gift, consider this almost better than a diamond, certainly more rare and definitely exceeding in absurdity, brutality.

The Guardian reports, “Robbie Williams has been hired to perform at a party to celebrate the business success of the Uzbek-born Russian billionaire and Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov. Williams, who released a 2016 track titled Party Like a Russian, is headlining an event this week to celebrate 25 years of MegaFon, a Russian mobile phone company largely owned and controlled by Usmanov.” The Guardian adds, “The glitzy event is billed as the star afterparty ticket at Russia’s version of the World Economic Forum. The three-day St Petersburg International Economic Forum, which kicks off on Thursday, is as known for its champagne-fuelled celebrity parties as its business networking.” The Guardian notes, “Usmanov made most of his fortune in steel and iron ore before investing it in technology businesses including Facebook, Alibaba, Airbnb and Spotify.” The Guardian adds, “Several heads of state are also signed up to attend the St Petersberg summit including the French president, Emmanuel Macron, the Japanese prime minister, Shinzō Abe, and Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund. The organisers boasted that business deals worth $2tn (£1.5tn) were signed during last year’s event, which brought together more than 14,000 participants from 143 countries.” So everyone is whoring at the event, not just marquee name Robbie Williams. Not reported: how much the marquee whore gets.
